so you did not complete the application process, were interviewed 3 times and wonder why they didnt give you your money back?

1) You wasted a lot of ppls time
2) What do they have to gain by giving you your money back?


also i dont really get which part of the full api key is that dangerous? maybe someone can give me a hint to that.

I agree. It has to do with what CCP defines as "hardcore" which is just CCP sanctioned griefing. This game has so much potential but there is a fly in the ointment and CCP refuses to see that EVE currently caters to "douchbags" most of all...which takes away from the game as a whole.

Hey look, actions have consequences. Nice work passing the buck for your own actions and expecting CCP to nursemaid you through every decision you make with your life. Do you cry to them when you lose your pew pew ship to rats? Do you open up a thousand petitions when you can't fit your ship correctly?

It's almost like CCP gives you the opportunity to think and play for yourself without holding your hand at every single opportunity. There are many more of us who prefer it this way. We all lose things and we all learn from them. It's called being an adult.

OP, no decent corporation will ever demand money for joining since it costs nothing to bring people in, they may tax you after joining but that's about it, next time, go with your gut instead of listening to a scammer trying to reason with you.


Apart from which, you should only ever give out your LIMITED API details. Full API is a big no-no. Big red flag should pop-up in your mind if you see a requirement for your Full API. Good thing you saw that part of it.





Full API for null sec corps is standard.

Lets see: When googleing "joining Goons", the very first result that comes up is this... hell, they even tell you that you will be scammed if you send ISK.

There's a difference between having every aspect of your life catered for and dealing with people who are knowingly or criminally tricking people into buying scams, yes, the OP should have known better and will hopefully learn from this, I'm of the opinion that the internet has become a place where stupid people are taking advantage of, I genuinely think kids should go on the internet just to learn about all these scams people are running so that they don't ever get tricked.

That said, I'd expect nothing less than poorly written justifications from the very people constantly trying on these scams because they're too lazy and dishonest to play the game properly and earn ISK the way everyone else has to.

Every time I read a post like this I laugh a little.

Scam in EVE function like scams IRL.

Q: Would you give your personal banking details to a potential employer?
A: No!

Q: Would you pay for a job interview?
A: No!

But you would in EVE...

If you're dumb enough to fall for a scam, you deserved to get scammed...

Quit bitching about it and move on...

(for those of you who fall for this type of scam, can you please evemail me your credit card and/or PayPal information for an in game credit check)

At very least foreign mailbodies are not anyone others bussiness. Period.

If others give their FULL API key out - it's their decission. I wouldn't.

By the way: As already stated in other treads: You can't detect serious spys this way, as they would use multible accounts.
