If you can login, the system knows you have an active subscription. Try clearing your cache https://support.eveonline.com/hc/en-us/articles/203613081-Clearing-client-settings-and-the-client-side-cache-data . If that doesn't work, submit a support ticket.

The skills that say "This skill cannot be trained on trial accounts" in orange will still say that. That's just a generic text description in the skill. However, once you pay you can ignore that text and inject the skill and then add it to the training queue (if you have the other skills that are listed as prerequisites).

I have no idea why people get confused by this.

Wait until they get the omega pop-up everywhere.

I don't know if that's the issue; just figured I'd mention it.

Usually skill training issues are fixed by logging out of the game and back in, and / or clearing the cache, as advised above. Sometimes it takes the server a minute or two to realize you've activated your account from trial to full.

iirc it used to be that the text was removed once your account lost trial status. I can see where that makes sense but it became problematic for players like me that often help new players get up and going. I'd buy them skill books or instruct them to buy skill books that they could not use. I had no easy way to figure out which skills that trial accounts could use and not use and it became problematic for me.

I believe that I was one of the players that asked to have the text stay after trial status on forum threads discussing the NPE. I can see now that it lead to a different type of confusion and for that I am sorry. Maybe CCP could make the text change color like from orange to blue or something like that. ( Because red and green is too much like danger and go )

In many games that text disappears when it is not applicable. Speaking of fixing the new player experience, the fact that this is a common question and people get confused by this should be enough of a reason to change it.

My confusion stems from a message that is clearly not applicable causing concern.

i.e. a sign, "Crossing the border whilst in the possession of turnips is a serious crime!", wouldn't be a cause for concern if I was neither crossing the border nor smuggling turnips.

I agree though, that it would be nice if the text were dynamic, but that might require a major overhaul to how the UI works.
