Mass Test on Singularity: Tuesday, 25th October @ 17:00 UTC

Hi!
We are planning a mass test on Singularity on Tuesday, October 25th, at 17:00 UTC (= EVE time)!

What exactly is being tested?

  • Explosions
  • Command Bursts
  • Engineering Complexes
  • General client and server performance


How to connect to Singularity for this test:
Change the server from Tranquility to Singularity in the upper left corner of the new launcher and log in as normal. More detailed instructions are available here.

Test steps:
1. Meet in FD-MLJ at the gate to X-BV98
2. Jump to X-BV98.
3. Command burst test
4. Warp to a Raitaru
5. Warp to an Azbel
6. Warp to a Sotiyo
7. Shoot + kill the Sotiyo
8. Fleet W: Jump to Poitot + setup gate camp.
9. Fleet X: Jump to Poitot + fight at the gate (with explosions)

What else should I know?

  • Use the command /moveme to be moved to the start system FD-MLJ
  • 2M Skill points will be awarded on Singularity for this mass test
  • Bring anything you like to the test (preferably something with weapons!)
  • Please only fit a Command Burst, if you would also use it on TQ

Cannot test on two accounts since only one can be omega. I have both active on TQ so shouldn't they be considered omega on Singularity?

Doesn't seem to work for me. The 2nd account still see's the first as Alpha and relogging resets it back to Alpha Cry

Yes, but you can do that only in game chat, first account becomes omega, second account refuses to login because it is alpha, and there is already omega account logged in.

NVM, after recent reboot i can log both accounts in.

How long is test server going to be down for.. cant seem to find any information as to why it went down. Other than cluster shutdown 14 min before it went down..

launcher falled into endless download loop , managed to log-in but then got socket closed so restarted launcher and it started to download again and again once download was complete launcher restarted and once was again started up already download began and once download was complete launcher restarted again and started up again for another download after looking up it was downloading same size same type of patch all over time.

hey ccp i have personal question . why you do updates to game or launcher hour before mastest , is it done to kick out bottleneck internet connection players ? why the patches and all updating cant be done earlier so evryone has chance to downloading things even those with dial-up connection.

I was there and my Apostle went kapoof to some Titans :-)

Most of all i was kinda suprised on how well my computer did keep up with all of the effects on. Yes, i'm running EVE with the highest possible graphic settings possible (both ingame and via my NVIDIA Control Center) and i was sitting around 15-18 fps in the most intense fight moments. Before the fighting started, i was sitting all around from 30 to 77 fps. Yes that's with Vertical Sync on and i also have overclocked my screen from 60 to 77 Hz.

So we had a 200 vs 200 man fight or something like that which was pretty cool. To bad, i forgot to fraps it all.

Are accounts created within the last 5 days able to participate? My friends just purchased the premium starter pack and want to experiment with the upcoming functionality.

Thanks for helping with this test! The gathered data is still being analyzed and the filed bug-reports are being processed and are partially already fixed.
2M skill points have been added to 590 characters on Singularity as small reward.
