OMFG! What Happened to Aura's Voice?

I hope they dont push her thru she sounds like a snob. Ill just mute her.

If CCP was smart they would actualy make 3-4 versions of on board computer so everyone can pick their favorite. Keeping the OLD ONE would be my choice tho

They have trouble getting a single option to work properly, guess what would happen if there were several.

The warp of the first sample replaced ship in a sisi patch this morning. The second one didn't change.

I'm really not a fan of the new voice. It seems lacking compared to the old one.

I would like to know the thoughts behind the change as well.

They made the npe all voice acted and rather than make a new character to help new Bros they re-used aura so for consistency they changed he in all parts of eve because **** us

I wonder, could there be like annoucer choices? Choose the old aura, or a new, or even choose audio files and make your own theme entirely? because that would eliminate the preference lockout AND enable a multitude of options.

I have to disagree.

My hearing is getting worse and I find the new voice hard to understand. As I said in another thread the speed sounds wrong and the diction is not to the old standard.

Given the changes to the skills screen I am finding it harder and harder to understand what the UI is telling me. CCP must understand that we are not all 20 somethings and take into account the varying degrees of sensory impairment that must exist in the number of players there are.

Agreed, it needs to be slowed down a bit. One thing I really like about Old Aura's voice is that she enunciates her words clearly because it's quite slow. Sounds better that way AND sounds exactly what I would expect from an onboard ship's voice.

The new voice is acted ok. But there is some kind of effect in it, that makes it sound metalic, which is not pleasing at all. It does not have the same sexappeal the current Aura has.

I like the new voice, slightly more cheerful and less drawling, with a slight synthetic tinge that reminds me of the old voice.

No, not the current Aura "old voice".

There was a lot of complaining when the Aura you all know and love was introduced too.

I remember reading a lot of threads exactly like this one.
