Options I'd like to see in Structures...

This has more then likely been brought up a time or 2, but I'd like to open another thread because I can!

As far as my knowledge goes, Structures are coded just like ships. So certain things applied to ships could work with Structures.

Dirt on structures should be a thing. That way you can eyeball how long it's been there... (or cleaned last.)

Skins, there's a tab for it in the fitting window, would be nice to have a way to personalize your Astrahus from the other several hundred currently deployed.

Finally, different models. This one probably will never see the light of day. But having multiple models of the same Structure would add a bit of variety of what's available in the game...instead of seeing the same structure everywhere!

The dirt I'm meh about.

The SKINs should eventually be a thing, I hope, but lets get the structures in play first.

As for the different models, different options should make them look different a la T3 cruisers, but any two citadels with exactly the same options (modules/rigs) should look the same (minus a SKIN). That's the way ships operate after all.

Though let's get the structures in play first. Then in a few years, the art team can go back and play around sprucing things up.

I'd go against the whole "model changes depending on rigs installed" as you can pull up public access Citadel services. But you only get what's services are running, and have no idea on the rigs. Whereas an easy to glance at a Citadel can easily spot T2 rigs, thus an open target for Highsec wardec and griefer groups. Especially privately accessed structures, and a time consuming game of loot piƱata...

I'm just throwing this up for something to do, and hopefully a discussion to kill time at work! Also, all structures that's planned won't be released for another 2-3 years, so the department that's in charge of ship skins can easily do skin themes for structures.
