The Super-capital Nerf is a Social Networking Sucess!

TEST alliance, Goonswarm, and a dozen other alliances have been working outside of their normal enclaves to catch and kill ratting super carriers throughout null-sec.

Several "pubbies" were invited directly from the 'Dreddit' public channel and were able to contribute to yet another solo ratting super carrier kill.

Null-Sec alliances have increased their interaction with high-sec new players since it takes more than just newbie with a cyno to destroy their entire fleet.


PRE-NERF SCENARIO: (Huzzah Federation)

Huzzah invited a dozen new players, conducted fleet operations against local moon mining operations, a nine day old character joins the fleet in a Rifter, its fun for the whole family... Rifter drop fleet and opens up a cyno, 18 supercapitals blob the 13 caps Huzzah had fielded. Huzzah gets one of the supers down to structure before it poofs into a logoffski, and the rest of their fleet is annihilated. Why?, because they tried to fight. Huzzah loses half of their member corporations due to infighting.


NEW SCENARIO:

Null-Sec 0.0 invites a dozen new players, conducts a POS siege. New member brings a rifter lights a cyno. POS bash turned into a capital fight. Small alliance exchanges 13+ capital losses for two super capital kills. It is still a loss, but a victory on paper, 13 capitals cost less than two super capitals. Null-Sec 0.0 kicks the spy, rebuilds the fleet and invites more nub-lets.


The post-battle morale determines the long-term success of a alliance

Still in high sec, still not undocking.

Good first step, CCP. Now fix corp and alliance permissions, stop pandering to status quo and reclaim your game. Untill you do I see no need in trying.

I approve of ratting SCs. Killing them is so juicy and it incentivizes the economy.

i really don't see reasons TO NOT use it for ratting Big smile

after all: since loosing sentry drones SC has little to no purposes. fleet battles with SC happens rarely... POS bashing is no more possible... shooting structures? hm. If you have 1 SC you either sell it, use it for ratting or forget somewhere with useless character-holder.... to each their own.
