Random question thats been pestering me

is there a way to divide stuff into groups in your hangar/inventory.

cause as i rat alot, i get alot of loot.

i'd like to filter my inventory by 2 groups, loot i plan to sell and loot i plan to reprocess.

any idea if theres a way to do this?

I use station containers to organize my stuff. i'm not sure if that's the best way, but it is an effective way. you can even name the containers.

Cans.

Check the market for Station Containers and Station Warehouses.

OR

Make yourself a 1 man corp and get 7 hangar tabs.

Now that we are talking about inventory management. Is there a way to autofit ones ship from a saved fit, using modules from a corp hangar?

I tried it out and doesn't seem to work. Was wondering if there is a way to do this or if automatic fitting is only limited to ones personal item hangar.

Yeah that system isnt tied into the corp rights system, it wouldnt be as simple as you think, not to say that all corps have different types of corp hangar setups, different access rights and stuff like that. Just no, it would end up a mess if CCP even attempted to touch that legacy code.

as of right now. youd need to move all assets that would be going to the saved fit to your personal hanger.

In addition to what was said already, you can also make filters. You can achieve every possible statement (with the given operators) in conjunctive normal form by using multiple filters and choosing "any" inside them.

I have those containers in station but unfortunately I cant repackage stuff inside them.

Yeah that's one of several limitations with containers. Items in containers cannot be:

  • Repaired
  • Repackaged
  • Used by the auto fit service
