Question to the OP, would WHs be valid systems for the unit to jump to?

I hadnt thought about it that far, that again would be up to CCP and the user base. I would say no cause then you have to probe your way out, but then again WH's could be a desto system sure if everyone wants it.

" That being said having it as a deployable anchorable structure with a long anchor time is actually an interesting idea. Could be a one time use thing. That would be up to CCP."

This would actually be totally crazy, cause you could blap yourself, go roam around, anchor a jumper, go somewhere else, roam around. Do it again and hope to CCP Gods you end up remotely close to your home desto.

It's a good motive. Echoing others, Thera at least gives you options so you aren't catapulted to someplace even worse than you started. You'd be surprised how many places are completely devoid of excitement.

On the other hand it's a band-aid for people who want to live in isolation as nullbears, and then have their 'PVP' content too, albiet on someone else's lawn. Anathema to a sandbox in it's entirety, it's pretty blatant in its design that it is trying to partition things in a theme-park like way. If you cannot find a fight within say, 15 jumps, that is your own fault for blueing everyone near you, or chasing them out of existence.

Lazy solution to an age old null problem. Build the null you want to live in. If you cannot find content nearby, it is your own fault, and it is not CCP's problem to create mechanics to give you access to everything simultaneously.

If they allow us to take SOV which they do, it is inevitable that any successful corp alliance generally will have to go further and further to get content.

I guess its in their hands then.

Not true at all. There are several null hotspots on the map right now where bitter rivals are within 15 or so jumps of each other, and there is always be content in the area between them.

Eve is a game of consequences and decisions. If you make the decision to live in total isolation, drive out all potential fights from a region, or blue all potential adversaries, then you should live with it - it's a game, you made a play. If they just made a mechanic to trivialize your decision, i.e. choosing safety over excitement, then it would no longer be a decision with good and bad consequences, thus cheapening the game.

A)You grew it, you chew it.

B)You made your bed, now sleep in it

C)You reap what you sow

You already have jump clones, so you could pick the most isolated null pocket in the game, and then just jump to your 'PVP' clone and go nuts. You already have options.
