In-Game Brower

I really Don't understand CCP...... EvilEvilEvil


First it was the removal of the Jukebox And now the In-game Brower.......


Making EVE more and more user unfriendly, Like to have the ability to look up EVE-central orders, Or Zkillborads with out having to go out of game......


Bring Jukebox and In-Game Brower BACK......


Might fix the Problem other then just the removing it all together.

What's the jukebox?

I only miss right clicking 'Set Destination' otherwise my IGB was almost permanently minimized

It was in-game App/program where you could upload you're own music or listen to all of EVE's Music, it was very nice.

CCP please put the IGB back......

I use it all the time, with running 3 clients i have each of them logged into siggy so i know were they are on the wormhole chain. now i can only have one logged in and now i have to bring the desktop up to check siggy....

I didn't mind, but since the patch Windowed Mode is stuttery and slow. Now I need an IGB, or the graphics problem fixed. One or the other.

As a real world business CCP has limited resources - they can't do everything and need to pick their battles. Google, Microsoft and Mozilla all have excellent browsers available free of charge to the Eve player community and maintained at no cost to CCP. Why should they try to reinvent this wheel?

I believe they should focus their effort on the game itself. Our enjoyment and their paychecks depend on getting that part right!

they dont have to re invent anything the IGB worked and tone of players used it they dont have to focus on the IGB it was there not doing any harm to anyone.

I understand all this new API stuff etc... but no harm in leaving the IGB

I personally like the IGB

But CCP have only so many resources to go around. Their staff is half what is was at its peak.

So I would rather they fix some of the truly stupid mechanics that are in the game and update and improve the game than waste time on the IGB.

Just the reality of the situation.

The CSM gets in the way of CCP communicating properly with the players of this game.

After all we are not just players, we are customers.

Time for the CSM to be disbanded.

The IGB was awesome but it never got any security updates because that would just be way too much effort to make that happen in game. Because of that it was a security risk and however much we like the IGB, security risks are a nono. It had to go.

Actually there was. It was an outdated browser version, and had huge security holes that had never been patched. CCP had the choice of either dedicating their limited resources to updating it and integrating the new version into the game client, or removing it so they could focus on other priorities. FWIW, I think they made the right choice.

And there's your problem. Instead of going out and figuring out WHY it was removed you took to the forum to spread your ranting. Google is a thing. Use it.

Please open a bug report + ticket, we need more input for CCP about configuations experiencing this problem.

Agreed. The IGB could have had it's own department at CCP, it doesn't deserve one. Much better to just remove it; have all links open the default browser on your computer.

As I said in the last thread about this:

I too miss the igb it did server a purpose maybe ccp should of been more diplomatic and held a vote.
I now use overwolf but it has search isdues of its own unable to load pathfinder and unable to load straight into dotlan map from a shortcut.
My opinion and i dont care if you dont like itBig smile

you don't want a 10 year old browser on your system

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value
