Returning player with a null sec question...

I recently decided to see what was going on in Eve after a long time away, and noticed that I have some 'stuff' sitting in a couple of null sec stations that I am trying to decide what to do with. I don't know that any of it is worth a lot (I haven't had time yet to take full inventory), but it got me curious:

What are my options for trying to retrieve some/all of it? (One of them is in Paragon Soul, FWIW/. Oh, and I seem to still have a jump clone there).

I can think of:
1) try to join a corp in the controlling alliance, but this seems unlikely / a pain in the a**. Unless people are way more sympathetic than they used to be, I can't see that happening. Not to mention, I'd still have to haul all of it like 75 jumps out of there.

2) jump clone down and just try to sell off whatever I can

3) Possibly hire someone with access to haul it out? (I have no idea if this is feasible, or if it would be insanely expensive)

Any other suggestions from you clever veterans?

Thanks!

Contract them.

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

...to me (Bumble). I will get them out safely, for the low cost of 100m in total.

If what's down there is worth more than that, I'll be in touch :) (I doubt it is.. I think it's just a few small t2 ships, modules, ammo, etc).

Follow up question: If I jump clone down there, can I sell stuff on the market at that station, given that I am most certainly not going to be blue to the people that control it?

There's one born every minute.

Seriously, you're best bet it to fire sale them. Figure out what they're worth, sell them on public contract for 70-80% of that value and call it a day. Saves you time and hassle. You don't even have to go there to make the contract - you can do it right from your assets window, last I checked.

Eve is like an addiction; you can't quit it until it quits you. Also, iderno

Well I jump cloned down there and set up a contract for everything (looked like it was only about 55 million worth of stuff, going by Jita prices). I have a Stabber there that has a small amount of damage, and of course I can't repair it to sell or contract it.

Edit: never mind. it appears it did go along with the contract, even though I could see it in my hangar just after I made the contract. Maybe this is a bug?

Probably... did you see it in the Assets tab? AFAIK that tab is cached, it should update when you get a session change.

I'm not sure. But, it's all handled now anyway. I'm just waiting for my jump timer to expire.

Thanks everyone for the advice!

I would totally use your Jump clone and sell your stuff on the market. Someone will buy it eventually. Even if they don't, every player-built outpost in eve now has at least a 50% refinery. So at worst you can melt it all down and sell the minerals to buy orders.

Funny thing - if a citedal is destroyed players' personal assets are moved to a safe location. I don't see why this couldn't be done for someone (an account that hasn't been active for some time) be able to use asset safety feature and move their assets to a NPC location.

-That is of course they no longer have access to the station-
