Probably not log on for a day or so, see what happens. Battening down the hatches, have not yet decided to run or stay. Here in coastal South Carolina going to be iffy; if it looks survivable me and Mr 9mm watching for looters, if it looks like total destruction then the looters can have it and I'll withdraw with all available speed to the West. Good luck to all the other Eve players caught up in the drama, fly/drive safe and return in good health to the insanity of Eve.

Sad that the emphasis in the news here all is on how Florida has pretty much been spared; Haiti comes a LOT further down on the schedule

Storm track forecast to hug the east coast until just below Charleston then go hard starboard to the NE. Forecast worked right up until the moment it did not work at which time it pretty well target locked Charleston, well, actually McClellanville, which is about as far north of Charleston as I am south. Lost power Friday night, Saturday was seriously windy, tall pines whipping in the winds and firing pine cones with hyper velocity into the ground, looked like cannon fire. The winds died when Matthew worked it's way north, wreaking havoc on North Carolina, not so much from the winds but from storm surge.

Power finally restored Wednesday night, felt so good to get a shower. Feel blessed that I live in a place and time when living conditions such as these are rare PITA's; there are millions living under far worse conditions with no relief in sight.
