So I'm trying to grind standings so I can do lvl 4's and especially the epic arcs for various factions. Of course, my standing starts out low enough (even with Connections at 3 and Diplomacy at 4) that I have to start with lvl 2's in most corporations.

What I want to know is, which is faster ... grinding standings from 2->5 with the corp that offers the mission I'm interested in, or, doing lvl 4's with the one corp I can do that for to grind faction standing to 5?

To be specific, for Gallente Epic Arc, you start with an Impetus agent. Now, with Impetus, I'll start with level 2's. I'd have to grind standing from 0 (or whatever you start with at Connections 3) to 5 for that corp.

On the other hand, I know I'm at about 1.4 with Gallente and I can do lvl 4's through Federation Navy. That would get me Gallente Faction ratings.

Which will get me to standings 5 faster? I think the corp grinding would still be much faster, but not sure.

Grinding faction standings is the slow way. Focus on the corporation, and if possible make sure there is a suitable storyline agent nearby.

DMC's Faction Standing Repair Plan may contain something of value for you.

To access the Epic Arcs, it's easier to gain the required standing needed with the Corporation of the starting agent. Train up Connections skill to increase your current positive standings. Social skill will increase the amount of standing gained for completing missions.

Fit a BC/BS, find a system with lots of L2/3 Security missions of the corporation you want - Blizz them as fast as you can - take a bunch of missions and do them in a row. Do not salvage - just go in, shoot and finish and get to the next mission.

With this I raised my Republic Security Services corporate standing from 2.3 to 8.09 in a couple of hours. As far as I could see doing the L3 in a BS is fast and you get more standing increase.

As DMC said social skill will give you alot more standing when a mission is finished.

And if you want to repair those faction standing http://www.eveonline.com/ingameboard.asp?a=topic&threadID=1263174 is the only way to go !

I have to agree with the L3s for specific corp, BUT..

Doing faction / CUSMOS missions and get your faction standings to 6.72 you will:

- Be TAX free for that faction regardless of corp
- Have ALL lvl 4s open regardless corporation
- Have all locator agents open at least on the L3s agents

You can do this in 2-3 days just running CUSMOS missions and use datacenters to deliver tags.

Doesn't work for R&D agents though. Only corp standing to 5 will open lvl 4 agents. Off to more hauling for Lai Dai...

yep as I found out that certain tags (Angel Brass) are like 7-10m per tag and you need 20 of most of these tags. SO start saving :-)
