Being honest here.. I have on occasion not paid attention to the output location in my manufacturing jobs. And we all knows what means a support ticket request to GM/CS. What I am suggesting is adding in the pop up message saying the container/location is too small. What I would love to see is a drop down location for inventory labeled.. routing option. From there you change to any other location in the current station but is preset to item hanger. toss in an ok button and a little things issue to be solved. though it might be a little more then a few key strokes to solve.

thanks and hope you think its a good idea.

People (including me) have been making this error as long as I can remember. If it was an easy fix, I suspect it would be done by now - if for no other reason than to cut down on the tickets.

Simply move the container with the blueprint somewhere else - I have the luxury of putting it in another hangar division but a ship hold works just as well. Job will then deliver to wherever the input material was located - should be plenty of room there.

It does my head in that there is no way in game or via the API to determine which output hangar has been selected for a job until you come to deliver it.

Trade Hub Price Checker: stop.hammerti.me.uk/pricecheck

Visit "Haulers Channel" in game for all matters courier-related.

Structure name/system API: stop.hammerti.me.uk/api

Remembering the previous locations is good but it can sometimes be inconvenient. I just use a rule that I only check the blueprint in the UI if it is on the hangar floor or in a ship cargo.

If you get this error you can work around it either by repackaging the can that is defined as output or renaming it. Saves you having to create a ticket.

Nothing wrong with having a more automatic option though, as the above are not exactly intuitive.
