Hello there!

I've recently started EVE Online with a few other friends, and I'm looking for some help with RR ships to run missions. We're hoping to start training for a month or two for level 4 missions, and looking for an RR Dominix skillplan (or fit).

We're also hoping to use these ships for other things, such as wormhole sites, combat sites, and more.

Do we need T2 Sentrys?
Do we need T2 Armor Repairers?
What kind of Cap skills are we looking at?

Any help would be appreciated.

Problem with Domi is all the drone agro, I'd go with 2x RR Typhoon instead and only use 1x remote cap transfer on each.
Typhoon with it's explosion velocity bonus make cruse missiles on it shine and even with t1 launchers and t1 ammo you are looking at about 600 dps per ship if including t1 sentry drones (depending on skills, 700 DPS if using faction ammo).

(Raven does not have a bonus to explosion velocity and the bonus it does have to flight time is not useful at all as long as you use cruse missiles)

Benefit of having a local repper is that if one ship get disconnected from eve you still have 9-13 minutes to get it back online on grid before cap run dry, it's not even needed in most cases as you will clear any room faster than the cap dry up with two ships.

Tank on this fit is not enough to tank the harder missions for long so kill off dps first in those missions, shouldn't be a problem with over 1200dps. :)

(Fully T2 fitted and max skilled you get 950 DPS from each Typhoon with 2x T2 BCS fitted in lows with good damage application on rats)

In this fit I have tried to keep cost as low as possible and still make it good enough, faction repper does boost tank a lot but also make you a gank target (if running in area where many ships get ganked, remove the faction stuff for t1).

As you asked for a Domi RR fit for using 2x I'll give you the standard one bellow, RR with 2x Domi is pretty skill dependent regarding cap even with 4x T2 Remote Capacitor Transmitter if using t1 rigs so keep that in mind.
(Use t1 Solace RR if to little cap and consider a faction large cap battery)

This fit gives you 545 DPS using Curator II and 590 using Preator II, tank is only about 500-550 DPS in average using 2X Domi. Tanking does however scale when using more than 2x in a gang.

If you enter this fit in to Pyfa you can use "Export the skills needed" from "File" menu.

If you are looking for fittings and tips for specific types of PVE like null sec anomolies or variations of the ones I linked contact me ingame by eve mail.

Sentry Domi in null sec anomolies with specialized fit will give 7-11 M isk per tick (20 min) with minimal risk from Havens, just align to safe or station when landing in site and keep an eye on local, initiate warp if a red (not blue if NBSI policy) enter local.

Typhoon is also perfect for null sec anomolies, it does use a fair bit of ammo but it also does make a lot more isk per tick, about 10-15 M isk per tick as it can apply more DPS.

W-space is another thing altogether, I don't recommend it unless you are prepared to do the work needed regarding hole control.
A few years ago hole control wasn't as a big of an issue as it is today, a lot more fleets that roam in W-space now.
If not doing proper hole control it's like lottery if you make isk or loose isk from roaming fleets, in the long run you will make isk but how much is anyone's guess.

You say you're going to do level 4s, so I will assume you are staying in highsec for now. Green Cobra has a lot of worthwhile suggestions applicable to highsec L4s. There are some alternate options however.

If you have a large enough group, say 6 or more people, you could try offloading the remote rep from the damage platforms entirely. In that case you could have 2-3 logistics pilots, flying T1 or T2 ships, and damage/boost ships, with all ships being buffer fit to prevent losses to alpha. I would suggest decent-good capacitor skills (capacitor system operation, capacitor management 4+) and the relevant RR and ship skills at 4+. Of the T1 ships only the Augoror and Osprey will likely be able to permarun everything without high/perfect skills.

You say that you are going to do L4s with RR, but L3s should be possible with less skilled pilots. Where you could do L4s with Osprey-Raven/Tempest or Augoror-Megathron/Apoc teams, you could consider doing L3s with Bantam-Moa/Caracal or Navitas/Inquisitor-Maller/Omen/Vexor/Thorax/Rupture teams.

This can (maybe should) be done mostly with T1 fittings and drones, especially if you are flying cruisers. One thing you might want to set up however is voice comms. I don't know if Eve Voice could manage it but Skype, Teamspeak or something similar certainly can.

Good luck and have fun

Thanks a ton for all of the fits and advice, I'll be going over this stuff with my friends so we can start getting some skills and trying it out. We'll most likely do some level 4 missions until we're comfortable, then consider venturing into nullsec.
