Sorry if this has been answered, but I can't find this particular thing in the docs.

I see how to get a character ID via whomever a given access token belongs to, but how do I get a character ID via another character's name only? The only easily accessible thing I can figure right now is to loop through contacts, but then I'm obviously limited to utilizing only the names of someone's contacts in my application.

For more context, I'm working with the new mail remote UI, so going by contacts probably isn't the worst thing, but it strikes me as roundabout and ultimately limiting.


EDIT: Juuuust kidding, literally made a post and then found the XML feature. Weird navigating docs for two API's!
