create an aplha clone, is it just a case of creating a new seperate account from my main account and using the 2 weeks free play to begin training then once alphas are introduced i log in with this new account for free play?

sorry if this a pretty lame question i am trying to adjust to this steep learning curve called "eve"

You won't have to "create" an alpha clone. When your account lapses, all the alts on that account automatically become alpha. If you have ever made any other eve accounts, they well also automatically become alpha.

There will no longer be 2 week trials.

So you won't have to make a new account, you can use your current account

My choice of pronouns is based on your avatar. Even if I know what is behind the avatar.

so can i not play on a subbed account and have an alt also play on a free account?

You can have both Alpha and Omega accounts but they will not be able to login at the same time, alphas will have essentially the same restriction on simultaneous logins as trial accounts. https://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/clone-states-post-csm-summit-roundup/

You can create the Alpha account at any time. If you create a trial now and let it lapse when the 2 week trial is over you will be able to use it as an alpha account when the expansion ships in November.
