While a good portrait in its own right, compared to your old portrait, some effect is lost. Ralph used to have this awesome "release the hounds" vibe going which doesn't really work with the monocle (even though it should.. so much). Still, 8/10.

its the eyebrow that gave that effect,
wanted the left monocle as that would have retained the right eyebrow but those things are obscenely expensive,
which is saying something given were talking about excessive displays of wealth to begin with so ...

ill be playing with this further though

Shahira, only thing I really don't like about yours is the dark shadow below your chin but I know how difficult the lighting can be to work with. And maybe have your head slightly rotated so it's not directly looking into the camera.

I like that change, thanks!

As for yours, very nice composition and expression. There's some clipping and some shadow issues with the hair in the neck area, but that seems to be inherent with the hairstyle, and it's really only apparent on closer inspection. +1 for making that background work.

A 9/10, purely because I think a lighter eye colour would be better for this portrait.

Only criticism I have, rest is great.

I've never been a huge fan of that tat, just because it makes the eyes so hard to see. And, zoomed in, I see what you're trying to do with the bangs, but that's completely invisible at range. The Sansha jacket's a nice one, but all that too-dark-to-distinguish chest does nothing for the portrait. I like the choice of background--it provides great contrast esp. with the white rim of the jacket. Shame about the spikes, I can't see them at all.

A lot of potential, esp. with that pose--it's cool, I think. 7/10

What kills it is the framing. Zoom in a lot. Zoom in until I can see that peering eye and your neck looks normal and your dark-on-dark jacket doesn't eat up over half of the shot. Zoom in so I can see all that great face detail and the piercings. Look at Shahira for a lesson in good framing and lighting.

(oh, yes, I like your lighting. Makes you look quite uncanny and blue/green, although all that blush kind of cancels it out--tone down that makeup imo)

EDIT: @ Taishoku: I love the way you framed yourself with that background. Nice work.

7/10 Face model is lovely, however the angle of a thin neck on the angular twist of your torso is a bit jarring. Fault of the unnatural character poses in the editor.

This is what happens when taken to the extreme.

You have a unique appearance, one that is well lit, close up, and at a good angle. Your background matches your appearance, and sets the mood well, however I often find featureless backgrounds somewhat boring. 8/10

9/10 reminds me of a mysterious clock (or bomb) maker. Augs look great with the color coordination of the headpiece and monocle.

The face is very well done, and the facial augmentations are a good match. Unfortunately the avatar suffers a bit from the low-res textures that are apparent on the body even in the smaller images. The overall effect is very good, though. 8/10

I love it so much. Except for the fact that the eyes seem to be looking up until you zoom in. They should be glancing up. Looking down/straight forward is so boring; peering up from under your eyelids is far better. Beautiful as always but for that, 9/10

Cute face, not keen on that tattoo though.
Well lit though so points for that.

I have been working on a similar avatar on the test server and while trying out different backgrounds I came to the conclusion, at least in my opinion, that putting a wall directly in front of the characters face has very little charm.

With that view on the character you want to create space in front of the character. Also most poses lead to a very twisted body from that angle (your hips)

Character itself with the tattoos and so forth is ok.

Very distinctive, with a great use of colors and framing - the tattoo and augmentations all go along with it really well and the whole thing just looks great~~
