Are we ever going to see the new camera with custom tracking position?

Question is topic, Are we ever going to see the new camera with custom tracking position? I hate the offset of the new camera and I liked the custom position because my ship wasnt directly over what I was tracking. Honestly just because of that small change has made me not want to log in as often and has decreased my enjoyment of this game. (Its a small thing granted but it matters to me)

It seems like the camera options have changed, but I'm not sure what the direction or goal was, they are just, slightly different, with no custom tracking position.

But I agree. It is a small thing, but one that seriously matters to me as well.

What I'm best at: Silly questions, and here's one: Is there a camera setting that tracks a target locked ship? I'd never really noticed the lack as I generally eschew PvP but i was staging a faux ship fight in null-sec (2 of my characters, different corps), capturing the whole thing with FRAPS to be used as background on a music video project I'm working on. Editing would be much easier if both ships would've just tracked each other during the whole process.

Forum Rep for a bunch of characters, couple corps and one seriously Lost In Space multiboxer.

I have asked the developers about a new camera.
But still no any response from CCP.
It seems camera team became extinct or they are preparing for Euro 2020, or all of them fired from CCP.
New camera was introduced in February and still we do not have Custom Tracking Position.

This is an incredibly important feature that is sorely missed from the old camera. I refuse to use the dynamic camera movement toggle as it just tosses my ship so damn far to the left It might as well not even be rendered at all. And I really do not want to deal with all the other garbage inexplicably tied to the same toggle for the sake of 'simpleness'.

Bump,

Please give this request some attention, I HATE the new camera position, not only has it ruined my gaming experiance, literally cut from a 10/10 to a 6/10. Two thumbs down, 1 spoiled rotten tomato, but it has also ruined recording and all aesthetics of watching a ship fight. making it incredibly hard to record good fighting. CUSTOM TRACKER PLEASE!

I too wish I could alter the position of the tracked object on the screen. I used to put it above and to the left of center. Now my ship blocks my view every time I track something. The tracking camera itself, I love. It's immensely useful to click on an object in overview and have the camera immediately slew to that object, but not when it is obscured by my ship in the way. I suppose it wouldn't be so bad if I was flying in first person view, but I prefer third person view.

Posting my support. Been playing EVE since 2006 with 2 accounts and will not pay another penny until custom tracking position returns. I'm not very hopeful considering it's been nearly a year and they haven't even answered one post regarding this request.

I can only presume it was forgotten or left out due to laziness/time constraints.

Instead they instituted a FPS mode that nobody in their right minds uses, though I do remember many people whining to get it for reasons that Ive never understood.

People are weird.

I would also like to see the return of Custom Tracking Position, but frankly I'm just happy there's a way to disable the Dynamic Seasickness Camera Movement. That wee checkbox brought me back into space.
