Energy Weapon Crystal Damage

Energy Weapon Crystals should take damage or deplete just like Mining crystals and Ammo, this would make them a viable market item, at this point there is no market and reprocessing doesn't even pay the station fee's, if they did deplete, blue prints, and crystals would become a profitable item, especially the faction and T-2 crystals

crystal get damaged already and cant be sold

It has been a long time, but isn't it T1 crystals from a T1 laser don't take damage?

They do not take damage, and the downside of that is that they perform a lot worse than faction or T2 crystals in all but 1 scenario, which is structure bashes.

Maybe it's just me, but I find it beyond aggravating when people propose changes to mechanics that they don't understand -- at all -- in the first place.

1) T1 crystals never break but can't be repackaged or sold. They can be recycled.
2) Faction crystals require T1 crystals (packaged) to exchange. Faction crystals break after 4000 shots and must be replaced.
3) T2 crystals are invented off of T1 BPCs but don't require T1 base items in construction (with the exception of XL T2 crystals, which do require XL T1s for some reason). T2 crystals break after a semi-random number of shots and must be replaced.

So there's a demand. If you want more demand, blow up more ships.
