Bring back the mines.

CCP can do it now. We have the technology.

Mines plz.

Not those crappy little missile clones we had before. Bomb-sized magnetic ones that close on targets relative to their hull size and have an explosion radius to match. Little cluster MIRV ones that blap down drones that happen to hit their radius. Scrambler ones that kick off a massive **** you EM burst. Good old fashioned concussion mines that just bump the mess out of what they hit without dealing damage. Vortex ones that do the opposite. Mines for every flavor of ECM and tackle.

Stealthed mines with dedicated minesweeping and disarming modules. Dedicated minelaying modules. Military salvage by disarming/scooping old or discarded mines.

You forgot solvent based mines to be used against Minmatar ships, duct tape hates solvents.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

I'm on board with mines. I still have a ton in my hanger... though I can't do anything with them.

It would be cool to use them in a similar way to how mines were used around stations and gates in the game Freelancer. Lots of pirate apps too. I mean, obviously there would need to be a big discussion on deployment rules amongst pods who are a lot better than me at PvP than me... but for what it's worth I think the time is now for mines.

Kudos to the "more dots" guy.

Personally I would like to suggest these weapons:

1. Beam hits you, and causes a pop-up box to appear on your screen, with a riddle. Answer the riddle correctly, no effect. Answer the riddle wrong, your ship explodes. Answer the riddle like in Monty Python, and the ship that fired the beam explodes.

2. Interceptor-only weapon: you activate this weapon, and a 100 m plasma blade extends at a 90 degree down angle from your ship. Does damage if you manage to fly your ship close enough to the enemy to cut with it. Reflects pulse lasers and hybrid shots back at the enemy. You can change its color by using S crystals (though, maybe not the purple one).

3. Titan-only weapon: when this weapon is activated, a glowing dot appears in space near the titan. All the weapons of the rest of the fleet, when aimed at the dot, combine together a la the Death Star ray and hit the enemy as one big ray (or charge, or shell). Weapons grouping for the entire fleet, basically.

4. Softer version of ECM: you activate this at an enemy ship, and it doesn't break their targeting; instead, it randomly re-arranges all their module icons (next to their HUD), and covers them (so they can't tell what the module icons are) for the duration of the effect. The modules, of course, can be activated by clicking or pressing the F keys, but it's a crapshoot what gets activated or de-activated. Or overheated.

5. Sonic Jammer: this ewar module forces the EVE client on all targets in its area of effect to play this, or the HTFU song, whether or not they have audio turned on, and also shoot fireworks even if they have no fireworks launcher installed.

What about hacking minigame but you do it on a ship and if you succeed you take control of the ship for some time and self destruct or put modules offline or jettison the ammo or abandon drones or something.

When CCP? WHEN?

We can't let this happen, we cannot let Horde turn from meatshields to ammo for PL....

Tech 4 frigates that combine in to a titan. Each pilot controls a separate subsystem. Comes with a free animal companion or old grandpa.

Why do I now picture that old Granny (Worms) muttering to herself about the price of gas and the good old days whilst chasing her last 5 seconds down to zero?

Next up: Sheep launchers and holy handgrenades! \o/
