Autostart modules on a new target without tracking them rollback

For example, now when firing the turrets to not lose dps in the downtime between the change goals, it is necessary to look at turrets and wait for the end of the current cycle to start a new.

The DECISION

With the change of purpose for any active module(weapons, nets, painter, remote armor rep,...), EVE automatically at the end of the current cycle to start on new goals.

This will allow players(who know their fit and predict their actions) to monitor the tactical situation and activate the modules hot keys, and not to follow them back.

And even players with lower ping because of these setbacks cycles benefit.

If you want to AFK rat just use Drones or FoF missiles.

not afk, i need select new target and attack, but bot need see on my turrents for start attack when circle end

Maybe I misunderstood your idea, but to me it sounds like you want to have auto-repeat punch through your whole target list. And even if you personally would never use this in combination with lockback, I know I would. Et voilà, AFK ratting.

i like see on my ship, other ship in space, but i need see on my turrets for shot new target. it is not good.

Some of us shoot at other players.
I want to choose who is getting shot and the decision can mean a huge difference against two player opponents and drones i want to shoot. Automatic application of damage to the next target is purely an idea from LAZY PVE GUY.
So i'm gonna have to go with no.

He wants to be able to do this:

Lock target 1.
Lock target 2.
Press F1 to start shooting target 1.

While the guns are going...
Select target 2, press F1. Instead of the guns going red and stopping, the guns continue shooting... but the little gun indicator switches from target 1 to target 2 at the next shot.

He basically wants to queue the targets into the guns' shot queue.

I think he wants a little more than this. A queue implies a limit or still requires action to queue up each subsequent target.

I think he wants to lock a bunch of targets, press F1, and have the turrets shoot the first target till it dies, then automatically shot the next in the list. Basically requiring that he only locks each target in the order he wants. For example, you lock target X, Y, and Z. You start shooting at X. When X dies, turrets switch to target Y without any input. When Y dies, turrets switch to Z.

No mention of what happens when the guns reload.

All that said, I am personally opposed to this idea. Yes it could be convenient for PvE ratting. It may even help ensure your fleets shoots at the designated target. On the other hand, it makes lived at too easy for ECM and Ewar dual boxing alts. You basically gain the ability to ignore one account all the more when using 2 characters to fight anyone. Set your falcon alt to keep at range or orbit, queue up targets, and switch to the DPS one and focus on that. Your ECM will switch with each target pop without needing any input. That seems lazy and encouraging the very concept that CCP was fighting when they limited input broadcasting.

I'm not sure if it was OP wants but....

Talking about 'preheat' modules: you press modules and then lock target. When lock acquired modules start to do stuff.

Now let's say i already have one target locked. In this case 'preheat' cannot be used because every module will start to work immediately on currently locked target. I'm pretty sure everyone has such accidents when you shoot at repping you logi or repair enemy, etc... Lol

So it would be good to have some kind of 'lockout' of target: i mark already locked target as 'to not use any new module on it'.
Other option is to make 'preheat' as feature: in this case module does not start to work on currently selected target and you need to manually point target for module to be used on.

No, he doesn't want the system to automatically shoot all the targets, he wants to get rid of the delay of having to turn off your guns, and waiting until the red countdown disappears, before being able to shoot the second target. He wants to queue the second target by pressing F1 while the first target goes through its last sliver of hull.

Otherwise, yeah I agree with you that the automation you describe would not be good.

Limited to what the OP wants... shrug. Seems like a lot of effort to just gain a server tick of DPS. Ultimately, having to do it manually lets some people display their mad skillz.

Ah, okay. That's less bad then. Instead of watching his guns he'd have to watch his target list then though to figure out what pressing F1 in a given situation would achieve. Changeover time would be pretty confusing, I assume, especially for logi and ewar pilots.

So if I'm shooting a bunch of ships and suddenly a falcon uncloaks and I want to shoot it, do I have to finish my que first? Unlock everything and start a new que with the falcon on top?


OP - just play the game. The split second it takes for you to press F1 after a target is destroyed is pretty minimal. If you can't stomach hitting F1 for each target - this may not be the game for you, and if you find hitting F1 difficult - most games probably aren't for you. I don't know if you are intentionally trying to improve botting or not, but your idea would be a huge bonus to botters.
