This was my first investment opportunity but I don't have billions to throw around. Sad to see it didn't go anywhere but it doesn't detract from doing it again (if I have the funds).

Just logging in to begin the buyback process... Wanted to wait until EveMuseum dividends posted. Hang tight for updates.

Does the new EULA impact this?

Would say so as Lottery is gambling.

Are humans mammals?

New EULA restrictions:

No third party games of chance for isk/assetts/etc

This thread: Lottery (game of chance) for isk hosted by third party (OP)

So, here's how the return of funds is going to work. You will each get an Eve Mail with your specific amounts.

The account currently holds all of the initial money earned in the IPO phase and an additional 76,587,984 isk.

We will pay out all of this evenly across the 1610 shares that are not owned by me.

This will be a earnings per share of 47,570.17. Once you receive your email you have the choice to sell your shares back to me for the value listed, or you can chose NOT to return the shares and retain your ownership in the corp. (What the corp will do going forward, I really don't know.

Please reply via evemail so that I am notified on my mobile that you are awaiting a transaction, then I can log in and make the fund transfers. Please "give shares" back to Trogdor Montague to complete the sale.

Thanks again to everyone for your patience and support. I truly wish I had the time and energy to continue the project, but it seems as if the EULA is even against me now.

Received! Thank you for the clean termination of this project :)
It is very rare to see an unknown receive a lot of money on good faith alone, have the project run sour over time, but nevertheless return all the ISK to the participants.

You might want to read https://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/end-user-license-agreement-changes-coming-with-eve-online-ascension/ which states "You may not use, transfer or assign any game assets for games of chance operated by third parties". Basically, CCP have banned any kind of gambling in EVE now.

Edit: I might want to read more of the thread :p.

A 5th shareholder has taken the offer.

Thanks for the info Elizabeth, we are aware of the change and are attempting to take care of our investors before our operations become problematic. I don't really agree with the rule, but I don't fault CCP for going that way either... If EVE is going to become free-to-play, they will need to crack down and take a slightly stronger stance where they once were a very "buyer beware" kind of company.

I'm hoping that after all the dust settles and I get caught up on my overdue workload, I'll have time to make a blog article sharing my leanings... This truly was an eye-opening experience that I'd love to share with others.

I'd bet that a part of CCPs change in thought was due to the CS GO gambling sites fiasco.

That would make sense, but as I said before, I'd expect this if they are ramping up for massive amounts of new subscribers. The visibility of the game will be higher than ever when they start to offer a free-to-play offer, the PLEX system, character transfers, and skill injectors really blur the line when it comes to "real cash" transactions.

We don't need anyone asking questions around here.

It's probably more to do with the US and UK recently looking to regulate virtual/video game current gambling, rather than alpha clones which have likely been in the works for months. Many other much more games have had gambling up until now, I imagine there won't be many left soon.

Another settlement has been paid. Only 514 of 1500 shares remain for collection.

I highly recommend completing this transaction before 11/8 so there are no issues related to the new EULA. I assume there will be no penalty for violations previous to the activation date, but you may want to clean up, just to be sure.

Also, to clarify, there has been NO real money transfer as any part of this process. My concern is related to the new EULA regulations against 3rd party gambling systems, which I admit we were operating before it was deemed to be against the TOS.

I have ceased all gambling related operations as of 7/7/16, well before the change in regulations.

Confirming that I was successfully cashed out. Thanks, Trogdor. I'm sorry that the odds were not in your favor this time.

One FINAL reminder to claim your ISK will be sent via EVE Mail later today. If you want your money back, let me know before I start investing in something else.

I plan to keep all of the JaquePot funds in the corporation and use them to invest in other business opportunities. Dividends will be paid out, but I now own nearly 75% of the shares, so if you choose to "let it ride", keep in mind that there are pretty much no checks and balances anymore... (Although I don't INTEND to do anything to jeopardize your investment, I cannot make any guarantees).

Current shareholders will be guaranteed their current offer until 00:00 on Nov 21, 2016.
