probes capable of scanning everything

I would like to have probes that do everything in the way of scanning so I don't have to switch probes

they do not need to be super good probes

...why? It's not like probes take up a lot of cargohold.

I want one kind of probe can do everything

as I hate switching probes out it takes awhile for them to reload

and sometimes I'm just trying to find anything

They will either be too good and invalidate the other probes or useless and not used.

Isn't reload time like ten seconds?

And why would you be looking for both ships and sites?

Last I checked, combat probes can scan sites, they are just much weaker than core scanner probes.

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

Laziest suggestion, I've seen on the forum in a very long time.

Absolutely not, because of reasons already stated above.

Yay! You've described combat probes. They're already in game.

what would be the point?
They would still have to be launched out of expanded launchers for balancing and that basically means theres no reason not to just carry a flight of cores and combats (which by this idea are better) unless you want to save 0.05m3 of space for circuits or useless BPC's.

Yes this.

Combat probes are already dual use, just not quite as good as scanning sigs.

That and CCP tried that with the Hacking mods and that went over really well.

I'd rather not pay 300mil for a set of scan probes. I lose them as it is already.

You were never alone, there are many of us who use them.
Great fun to warp into a high sec systems and launch combat probes and watch the mice scurry away. Who needs to kill them when you can scare them out of space simply by launching probes.

Drone scanning in a mission hub has scared away some runners and they left behind some decent value drones also.Twisted

I am not afraid of your combat probes, for I am fitted with the cloak of invisibility, and its cloaky goodness shall surely protect me from your nefarious intentions.

Yeah but you're only doing that when you want to shoo the flys explorers off the sites.
You try and one shot when actually trying to kill anyone.
