Hi

I know this is all test stuff and that some of the items aren't linked together correctly and some functions dont work as intended so my comments will bear that in mind :)

For me I tried out the command bursts on my orca and discovered that atm you can not fit more than one module onto a ship, this clearly isn't the intended outcome, thou i do hope that you can fit more than one mining burst (or any of the other types of burst module)

One thing I did notice was that if a fleet member is tethered to a citadel you can't receive a boost, is this the intended action?

I did like the burst graphic and the ship effect graphics, seems to have a good balance though i do wonder what effect this will have on the server and clients with multiple ships firing bursts off

So yes everything looked good and performed ok though clearly the skills from a pilot have not been taken into effect yet, coz damm the boosts as they are atm are way down on what you can produce now, i trust that once the implant changes are taken into account then things will look a lot better

Anyhoo that's my two pence worth :)

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but my understanding is that tethered ships are immune to any number of types of interference P

Were you thinking of the Shield Harmonizing boost? I'm sure the mining ones won't be of any use to a tethered ship.

I went to multiple Specialty Gaming stores in my area yesterday and mentioned EVE to their customers and employees. Almost all had tried EVE at one time. NONE of them play anymore because it's too much war, not enough character development away from threat of PvP. Not ONE of them had a problem paying $15/month. They just spend it somewhere else now.

I'm pretty impressed that your local area IRL has multiple gaming stores. Most of them seem to be dying out/moving online.

But if you're talking tabletop/RPG/D&D type gaming stores, of course they don't like EVE. Very different type of gaming. Might as well complain that IRL pen and paper D&D types don't enjoy Call of Duty, apples and oranges.

What exactly are the client performance improvements? If anything I noticed EVE performing even worse than usual today (using a lot more RAM than normal).

Last night (Wednesday night/early Thursday morning EVE time, about 24 hours ago), my entire incursion fleet reported the same issues: when activating modules, they'd start at 50-75% through a cycle. when finishing a cycle, they'd stay on for longer than usual. Like, if a tachyon beam laser finished firing on a target that died, the cycle would visually go another 50% without actually firing before the module was free again... instead of the usual 10% or whatever.

Seems like some major module-related lag was afoot on TQ.

Silvia,

Yes, in the United States we still have gaming stores in almost every city (we have at least 8 in ours). They are dedicated to Xbox, Sony PS4/PS3 and PC gaming. Gamers hang out there for hours discussing whatever is on their minds. Our regions stores are called Game Stop but their are many variations of store names depending on where you are.

A few notes from my mass test experience (CCP, I was on an alt at the time)
Graphs: The price scale was all messed up. The values were at odd intervals, like steps of 1425 ISK, rather than 1000 ISK. Also, they would go to negative values.

Speed: It was slow in terms of FPS. Most of the time in the PvP battle I was mired at 1 to 2 fps. Also, the stargate jump test was very slow, like pre-brain-in-a-box speed.

Bug: Every now and then the camera will get stuck. Moving the mouse only results in small little jerky changes in camera viewpoint. Usually switching camera mode will resolve the issue. Not this time. It got stuck and stayed that way.

If you pay cash for your subs you must be playing eve wrong!!

Without cash paying subscribers, how will CCP pay for the servers, bandwidth, employees and the thousands of other expenses? Nice thought if you are only thinking selfishly about yourself. Not so nice if you are thinking about saving the company running the game.

When CCP gets their PvP obsessed heads out of their asses by supporting Industry and Mning, I encourage EVERYONE to pay for a subscription even if you don't need to. The clock is ticking and EVE's time is running out. This is one of the few games worth saving.

CCP opened pandora's box with plex as a solution to RTM, but we players are dicks and have worked out our spreadsheets to figure out how our alt miners can be free to play, scoop the profits to our pvp toon, and ***** and moan about carebears and people buying their subs with cash. ***** all you want about #Free2PlayRuinsEVE, but if you're buying subs with isk, you're the cancer eating away at eve.

CCP -how many accounts are subbed using plex bought in-game vs monthly subscriptions?
