I sure hope not. Dailies are the opposite of what EVE needs

maybe it's the term you might be nostalgic to. How about Concord mission control objectives with SP rewards. Lol

Yeah the name, that's the problem.

CCP said that the old skill queue, where you could only set a day's worth of skills, had people logging in daily to reset the queue, and when they did, they tended to stay logged in. They would talk to corp mates and get caught up in some in-game activity. The result was more people playing Eve.
They hoped the daily mission would foster the same sort of behavior. But it did not, so they removed it.

Yeah, obviously the problem wasn't that people were not logging in for the dailies, but the fact that they didn't hang around once they completed it.

It was too easy to kill the rats and log for the trivial SP it gave.

*IF* they rethink it and *IF* they brought it back... IMO it should be harder to acquire (harder as in take longer) and be more SP, worthy of whatever effort. ie... tied to completing 10/10 sites. Or any 5/10 thru 10/10 with varying amounts of SP dependent on the site difficulty. Or missions, or Santums or whatever.

Perhaps it would be good to reintroduce them in an alternate form. Characters with less than let's say 8-10 million sp's get their 10k Skillpoints. Everybody above get's something from a loottable with temporary ship skins, etc.

Reason is that I think it is a bummer for new players to see all these opportunities you have in eve and then realizing that you will need to wait X weeks to do them.

These 10k skillpoints are not that much, but it would give them a bit more the feeling of actively push their progression through actions.

How about if CCP concentrate on making a decent game instead of releasing gimmicks which are more than likely going to drive more players away....
