Learned you can't access the same account with two separate computers. The logic: Three accounts residing on three computers equals three characters available for what ever but wait! What if I can use the rather high end laptop just sitting gathering dust or running naughty videos whilst the game plays on to fly another ship?

Hell, yeah, lets give it a shot. Downloaded the client, set it all up to run the 2nd alt on account one, good to go. On account one's main computer, accessed the main guy and promptly got a "Socket Closed" message on the laptop. Turned it around, this time got a "Socket Closed" on the main.

So apparently CCP frowns on that sort of thing, unless I'm missing something simple. I uninstalled the client and went off to find the USB stick with the (very classy) naughty videos. Actually they are only considered naughty in certain tight-assed circles, I look upon them as art.

Accounts != characters

While each account may be able to hold 3 characters, you pay for 1 account. One window into the game world, one training que (unless you pay to multi-train)

Two accounts gives you 6 characters, but two training ques/two windows into the game world.

This is the way its always been, and is fully intended.

It's as much a technical issue as anything else.

Get a projector for art videos. I sometimes have art movies showing on the big wall behind my monitor while EVE is slow or I'm playing turn bases games and such.

There is so much waiting time in EVE. Long warp, timers, gate camp, etc.

It's nice to have artful images to glance at during such times.

Except when my football team is playing. Then I need to watch that live. Some things in life are more important than art.

Today I learned that some sharks lay eggs.

Surprisingly amiable responses; at least I wasn't called a blithering idiot. A lot of times it's just one of those hey, what the hell, gotta try it. Kind of like Eve game play. Thanks all for the comebacks, fly safe, shoot straight and die funny. And "die funny" sounds so lame, maybe one of you real writers can do better.

You could always switch to American Football. There's 11-13 minutes of actual play in a 3-4 hour 'match'. Problem solved?

If I'd known I wouldn't have tried, and although I suspected I still did not really know, hence the doomed effort. I do that a lot.
