Yes please! We were having this discussion a few weeks ago on comms. We need a record of how many kill marks that Revenant had when it died!

Why would you want to see how many times they've blown up a shuttle from an alt?

It's a pretty meaningless number.

Pods, shuttles, rookie ships, and unmanned vessels don't give killmarks.

The latter is occasionally a bit unfair - I missed a mark from a BS that logged off on me midway during the slow grind through his EHP this weekend. X

That aside, while I'm sure there are some sadsacks killing alts in frigs for killmarks, I really doubt this is the norm. A not-uncommon trajectory for my roam ships is that they undock with no killmarks, they accrue a few throughout the evening, and then they pop.

It doesn't seem difficult for killboard software to tell what kills contributed to the killmarks. If they have x killmarks on a ship, just look for the last x kills that person made with that hull.

Then people will take that information and use it for mockery.

I admit to killing my alt a 137 times in Atrons after they said they're going to start counting. My Sin unfortunately blew up the day before patch day and I never got to see my l33t alt killing skills.

It died in a most horrible and idiotic way (like all my losses, because I'm a risk-averse cloaky *** and usually only let my alts fly into risky combat) and I absolutely deserved that one!

Ah, good o' times.

It was a most gruesome experience, btw. Undocking and killing 137 Atrons.. I am never going to do that again.. Hell, even more boring than mining..

When you don't know the difference between there, their, and they're, you come across as being so uneducated that your viewpoint can be safely dismissed. The literate is unlikely to learn much from the illiterate.

That seems strange. Logging off doesn't remove the capsule from the ship. The ship is still piloted unless he ejected.

Well, I had 5 solo kills in that little ishkur this weekend and it came away with 4 killmarks, so that's the only thing I can think of. :\

Seems like a bug.

So I'm assuming you were baiting mission runners in highsec. If that's the case, then if you were the final blow on all 5 kills and an NPC didn't sneak the final blow in on one of them (you'd still get the killmail in that case), then that would suggest a bug worth reporting.

I would rather they add any off grid boosts/logi the killer/killed was receiving.

And, when we're done with this, we can measure and keep a record of how long your **** has gotten over the years!

Wow. What a brilliant use of bandwidth!!

I would actually like to see this.

I know personally that losing a ship with a bunch of killmarks on it *hurts* more than losing an identically fit ship that's 'fresh'.

Give us more opportunity to stroke our e-peens CCPlz?

Completely useless rubbish. The great PvP pilots out there know who they are, and those of us that have gone up against them know it as well. I salute all of them.

I don't care how many kill marks a target of mine has when they detonate, only that the threat they represent is removed, if even for a brief moment, from my area of New Eden.

Tracking kills, killboards, all of that is just ego mongering. I know I am not good as I want to be. Even if there where a thousand kill marks on the hull of my ship, I would still feel that I'm not good enough.

Now, would someone like to claim superb victory because they down a thousand kill mark ship? Yeah, but that doesn't make them better than that pilot, it just means they won that fight. Nobody wins them all.

Congratulations, you won, I salute you for now, next time, you might not win. A certain quote from Han Solo might apply here...

Purity-running loot pinatas, but yes. I suppose it's possible one of them got tagged by a rat, although they always seem to prefer shooting at me. Evil

BTW, I remember there's a website about a gallery for each ships which has killmarks. You can enter the ship name and find where's the killmark is.

Could anybody know that pls :=)
