I've asked this before but I'm doing it again!
Updating market orders is not fun. When you're working in a high volume market and replacing your orders all the time, it's not so bad, but when you are working on a low volume market where frequently your orders will be up longer than 3 months, it's an absolute mission to go through updating all of their prices by 0.01 isk to refresh their market time. Please CCP give us a button that simply refreshes all of our order times so they stay up, even if it still charges up the update fee for each order. I think this would help grow markets outside of hubs, as people won't get to the end of 3 months, see they have several hundred orders to click on then give up.

Thanks!

If you want to play the 0.01 isk game then you have to actually play.

I think you've got your wires crossed here. I'm not talking about the 0.01 isk game. I'm talking about a button that simply refreshes the time left on orders. It would be pretty useless for people in fast moving competitive markets as their orders rarely hit the timeout, but in areas where there is no market or a limited market, it would allow people to seed markets without the certainty that within 90 days they will need to update every single one of those orders manually or have them drop off. When you're trying to seed a market with 300+ items that creates a huge amount of clicking that really has no purpose.

I agree with Baltec on this one, but I can't really tell what OP is trying to say either. I do like the idea of adding time onto orders. Increasing from 90 days to 365 days based on how active the system your trading in is. So Jita and Amarr would stay at 90 days, but 365 days in some system out in null sec that doesn't have too much activity.

I think that's basically what he's saying. Ability to refresh orders about to expire, pay a small fee, and be done with it rather than adjusting the price on each on in some meaningless way, one at a time, by hand.

I'd be in favor.

Yeah that's pretty much it. To clarify for people that are';t sure, right now in Jita, you're unlikely to have an order longer than 90 days, but out in the middle of nowhere you might be selling all type of ammo for example, or loads of skillbooks, and they'd not all sell. So every 90 days you have to go through each order and change each of the prices on those orders so it gets to stay for another 90 days. You pay a 100isk fee for each order you change, but you die a little inside from the monotony of it. A button to refresh all of those timers would make that so much better, even if it just did orders in your current station. I'd be hesitant to actually extend the order time however because that would means someone could set up orders then let the account lapse for a year then come back. With a button to refresh you'd still need to be active and in the area once every 90 days at a minimum.

Ive done alot of trading in null, have more than 4000 salesorders out at once (15 salestoons).

Updating those orders was a F..... nightmare.

So i do agree With OP on this one.

Those that dont agree, i assume havent done markedorders in high numbers.... so dont come copmplining if you dont know what you talking about.

I don't think anyone but baltic1 is really disagreeing, and he didn't read the OP and jumped to conclusions.
