Triple boxing level 4s using drones for fun

Hey All,

I've been wanting to try out a triple box setup for level 4's that is drone heavy. First, I was thinking of my main anchor either being a rattler with a gecko, a mach, a t3, marauder, or a gila. Two alt accounts would most likeley use gila's (due to toughness of the medium drones bonus).

Does anyone have recommended fits for this kind of setup? For me, I'm looking for fun > isk/hr and just watching the drones tear stuff up. I'm fully aware of the benefits of blitzing level 4 burners in terms of isk flow.

No omni-tank is necessary, would rather have a group of ships kitted out for taking down em/therm and another group fitted out for combatting explosive or kinetic damage. From past forum searches, I did note the gila's popularity, though most setups were for 2-boxing.

Yeah nah.

I used to run multiple drone ships back before NPCs developed a fetish for tearing them up.

These days it's MJD plus sentries or go home.

You can sometimes keep aggro off sentry drones by using EWAR (my favourite being target painters). You can sometimes keep aggro off drones by having your fleet remote rep each other. By assisting drones to the lead pilot you can engage in pointing at things you want dead, then watching them (slowly) die and explode.

Combat drones work fairly well against larger enemies, so you can use them in missions which have no cruisers, destroyers or frigates. "Right hand of Zazzamatazz" has frigates which will only aggro if you use drones. Most Angel Cartel missions have frigates and cruisers that will attack drones as soon as they are launched.

3 domis with a sentry setup is going to wreck any mission in record time

3x Domi's with assigned Sentries and Remote Reps is the way to go.

But at that point you might as well add in an Auguror and Blitz L5s for 500-600 mil ISK/hour instead of running L4s.

Forget about Gila with mediums or any ships with heavy drones. It's impossible to look after them. NPC's switch targets and kill them very fast. From my point of view the only option is a Gunship (Machariel as an example) + 2 Rattlesnakes. Because of sick bonus to drone hitpoints. Put cruise launchers for extra heavy targets.

I was using Machariel + Rattlesnake for 0.0 ratting. It works well.

Thank you everyone for the advice. My current setup is to try a mach and two rattlesnakes with geckos. The Mach warp speed will be nice for collecting missions too. Lvl V missions may be a goal one day, but low sec does present a risk. Can 3 accounts reliably and cheaply do a lvl 5?

Everything will aggro heavy drones, all the way up to battleships.
Narma with scorch and sentries is painful. Or you could try to gun down the small stuff from range, close in, and throw ogres/ and conflag at the battleships.

You need a Tengu with Regengu fit.
