Does anyone want to know who designs the sad ship skins we get

I have played a game that was not near as good overall as eve same type of game all space conquest more or less
but the way the do the customization on skins is so much better than this. I mean most of the skins are dirty nasty looking crap that u wouldnt want anyway someone with a better since of style needs to step up and maybe redesign some of the ships and skins to go with them. The ships themselves look like someone just took some left over parts and stacked them together. I would love to see alot more symmetry in the ship designs . Think like a automobile manufacturer they want cars and paints to go together and make a car that people want to drive. I wonder how many pilots feel like i do about this>?OopsShocked

Do you want symmetry where both halves are a mirror image of the other?
Or do you want synergy where the skin and ship design work well together?

If you don't follow the rules, neither will I.

Some of the skins are bad, yes.

Some of the ships are ugly, yes.

These are in the minority. (Unless you're looking at minmatar skins, which almost all suck. Why can we not have hot rod skins on hot rod ships?)

And symmetry is boring.

Well cars are made to be as aerodynamic as possible since air will stop them, in space there doesn't exist the same problem, so there is no reason to make the ships in EVE aerodynamic.

tell that to the guy who is destroying the caldari theme when it comes to ships. The old ones looked like things were put where they were needed very corporate and efficient(function over form) the new ones look like they were built to look nice and sleek

I want flame decals on the side of my ship. Flame decals anything go faster.

That is true for the space we call the universe but EVE is a hyperfluid liquid.

Eve Minions is recruiting.

This is the law of ship progression!

Ever see what happens to something in space when mass and thrust are not lined up with each other? Granted that your ship could still be a big borg cube and still fly in space, so long as the thrust is aligned with the CoM.

Personally I don't mind asymmetrical ships, so long as it at least looks like they've aligned the thrust vector to match the CoM.

For example if the ship is lopsided, one big engine on the heavy side and one smaller engine on the small side.

This is only true if you are flying on rocket propellant based ships. Which we obviously aren't since we have no turning or braking thrusters yet still turn and brake. Which means that our 'engines' are obviously exhausts for the reactors, not the primary drive units.

A gyro is how we turn now in space without using a propellant. Given that eve ships fly through a hyperfluid as someone else stated (space submarines, most adeptly described imo) there are many other ways that a ship could turn.

The other possibility is that we just don't see reaction control thrusters bursting.

Judging by the fact that engines are always on the back of a ship and never on the front or sides, it is not unreasonable to assume they produce thrust through some form of mass ejection.

Edit:
And if a drive did not need to eject mass to produce thrust, the most efficient means of changing thrust vector would be to gimbal the reactor. No reason to turn a massive ship when all you need to do is turn the engine inside of it.

Whoooooooo caaaaaaaaares

I fly zoomed out most of the time so I can see stuff better anyway.

Except EVE ships don't fly in a hyperfluid, that person was wrong.
The reason our ships have a top speed is because of space time drag produced by the warp drive that can't be shut down while in space. Which is also the reason our ships always explode in such a catastrophic manner because it's a warp core breach.

Since we slow down at the same rate we speed up it's also impossible for us to be using reaction drives without having an equal sized drive at the front of the ship with an equal sized 'tail' to when we are accelerating at maximum speed.

In short, we are not using reaction drive physics.
Either the rule of cool is superseding physics (which is the most likely answer) in which case off centre drives are irrelevant because we aren't using standard physics, and they are one of the smaller breaches of physics occurring.
Or we aren't using reaction drives at all but some other form of drive with an exhaust.
