Pretty much this, another suggestion is to move to another region.

Its EVE you kinda expect this kind of thing. I found it easier to just pay for the licence and get on with it.. It was only 10 mil . better to do that than continually look over your shoulder, besides if you aint happy , fit your own suicide gank and go looking for payback.
Even if it's paid it doesn't stop them from attacking. The best thing to do is set yourself up to be a pain in the backside to gank, then completely ignore them. Paying them or reacting just encourages them to do it even more. Now off with you, obvious code alt.

Do you mind I have one account and one player this is it... just started paying again after mmmm 65 months away from game according to account details.

wow I hav'nt played this in a awfull long time. that's what WoT and WoW does to you years lost to online games.

oh and whats a "code alt" .

Just ignore him. He has some own very distorted version of reality.

There was once a fox that raided a henhouse so much, the hens were up in arms (wings?) about a solution, so the fox opened a consultancy firm right next door to the henhouse, and "provided" sound advice, guaranteed to solve this pesky fox in the henhouse problem.... He'd always begin with, "All yah gotta do is...."

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

Big smile Now that made me laugh out loud, nice one...

When the going gets tough the Gankers get their CSM rep to change mechanics in their favour.

You should not ignore them since it's number one of the most important issues why players are leaving this game. Me included. Gaming should be fun and PVP is fun, but that is not PVP.

I claim that this is the one major reasons why EVE Online never did grow one of those games that has millions of subs monthly.

EVE grew at it fastest rate back when there was a lot more PvP in highsec. As this content has been removed via nerfs to those playstyles the retention rate has gone down. A huge amount of content is not longer happening which means fewer people playing due to boredom.

According to "Empires of EVE" Reikoku was suicide ganking in High Sec during September 2003. I never understood why people complain about a game mechanic that has always been here.

Eve isn't for everyone and that is just fine. Not everyone can handle the constant threat of PVP. There might be other games out there that suit you better.

The core idea of eve is that you are not safe anywhere. You make the safety, not the security rating of the system.

It would be wise to listen to Chribba. He knows one or 2 things about mining and eve...

As a courtesy to other forum users, please search to see if there is a thread already open on the topic you wish to discuss. If so, please place your comments there instead. Multiple threads on the same subject clutter up the forums needlessly, causing good feedback and ideas to be lost. Please keep discussions regarding a topic to a single thread.

This thread pops up alot, and despite CCP providing ample evidence that ganking/greifing does not have the negative impact on player retention that most claim, this thread will continue to pop up.

But at last, this one is closed.
