We need Caldari-Minmatar faction ships ASAP!

Mordu's Legion would have been perfect, shield and missiles are used by both, I would give them target painter effectiveness instead of warp disruption bonus.
However as a "theory" maybe we could figure out something that could work, I think this is an idea worth talking about.

First question: would a Minmatar group kidnap Caldari scientists or the scientists would seek refuge in Minmatar for some reason?

Pretty meh about this idea as a whole, weve got plenty of cross faction ships now, not to mention who would produce them?

IMO it'd be thukker tribe, aren't they supposed to use caldari tech anyway?

Yep, that is something for the time when most of EVE's glaring and gameplay ruining issues have been ironed out, and features that have only been introduced half-finished completed (looking at you, Citadels, Industry, citadel contracts).

Instead of wasting time on yet another lackadaisical feature, CCP ought to concentrate their entire workforce on fixing the features we have at hand, so that we can move on to actually concentrate on introducing new things the right way sooner.

However, a long range rail platform of Minmatar/Caldari origin in combination with Mordu's long range missile/warp disruption platform sounds quite powerful.

Pirate ships are now meant to have unique bonuses. Something that makes them special.

Thukker Tribe comes up often given their cooperation with Ishukone on the development of the Rhea. On the other hand, Thukker are now part of the Republic and several of their designs developed by Thukker Mix are part of the Minmatar fleet - Nomad, Jaguar, Vagabond, Panther and Cheetah.

The only other faction I can think of that might work is Ammatar Mandate, perhaps working with Khanid Kingdom engineers to bolt some Caldari technology onto a Minmatar design

This is a good point. SOE while also being a "pirate" faction optimized their ships for exploration. Why can't we have mostly fleet support faction ships?
Minmatar generally goes with either armor or shield, these ships could have remote and non-remote armor and shield boosts, while getting e-war bonuses from the Caldari side.

I think the role being as either a Support ship or Pirate hauler ship would be a great fit for the Minmatar/Caldari cross since, like SOE, it does not need to be a dedicated combat ship.

Just throwing this out there as a cross combat hauler:

Role Bonus: +50% effectiveness of Hull upgrade modules (Expanded Cargoholds, Nanofiber Internal Structures, Reinforced Bulkheads)
Warp Speed +50%

Minmatar bonus 4% bonus to hull damage resistance per level
Caldari Bonus 1km range bonus to Smartbomb and ECM Burst per level.


Ship fitting will be a fight for the lowslots to utilize hull tanking and utility as a transporter, but can still be fitted for a unique use in fleet combat for AOE effects. I would also be tempted to put a generic turret rate of fire or optimal range bonus just in case the user does not want smartbombs for all their highslot weapons.

Possible fleet hanger and a natural warp core strength of 2


Other possible suggestion, more for a Support ship would be the following:
-increases in remote tracking, remote Capacitor Transmitter, remote sensor boosting, and/or signal distortion amplifier
-Warfare Links
-Increased Salvaging/tractor Range/Speed
-Increases to Remote Hull Repair

No, not shield logistics, Hull Logistics. That is the way to go as the only one not currently out there.

This concept is so Pirate that I think it just has to be done, and who better than a hybrid with Minmatar scrappers to pull it off

To pull this off I think the following stats would be needed:

Role Bonus:

50% increase in remote hull repairer cycle time
100% bonus in remote hull repairer repair amount
reduction in Remote Hull repairer CPU
reduction in remote hull repair powergrid

Minmatar bonus
20% bonus to logistic Drone per level
30% bonus to Remote Hull Repairer optimal range and falloff per level
50% bonus to remote hull repairer amount when overheated per level
4% bonus to hull damage resistance per level

Caldari Bonus
Reduction in Remote Hull Repairer Activation Cost
Reduction in Remote Hull Repairer heat damage
Bonus to remote sensor booster and/or signal distortion amplifier


It will be weaker, slower and have less range in terms of repair compared to standard logi, but come with an added bonus of a massive overheat boost, which for hull tanked bricks could be nice

It'd probably be broken as ****, but an interesting thukker style pirate ship could have an mjd that travels towards its target rather than straight ahead.

Dramatically reduce range, reduce spool up time and cool down. Give it a blaster bonus. = surprise butt sex
