Trouble with career mission Balancing The Books 4 of 10

Good day all

Been working on the career missions "Balancing The Books". Having a great deal of difficulty with mission 4 of 10. Every time I have warped to the location given by the mission, there is absolutely nothing there. No warp gate as others have describe, literally nothing. Any help or guidance will be greatly appreciated!

Hello and welcome to Eve.

Sorry to hear about your problem. Don't quit the mission, doing so will lock out access to the rest of that Agents mission series. Just remember, all missions will reset at Downtime if not completed.

If the same issue still exists after Downtime, ask for a mission reset and explain your situation with a Support Ticket :
Select Type = Game Play Support
Category = Game Play - Agent Mission In Progress

CCP is usually pretty quick to answer, between 15 mins to a few hrs. While waiting for a reply, you can do missions for the other Career Agents. There's 3 sets of 5 Career Agents for each of the 4 main Empire Factions and if you so desire, you can complete all of them.

At the risk of sounding ignorant, what is 'downtime' and when does it occur? I should wait for that to submit a ticket?

Downtime is the nightly window when CCP reboots the computers. It lasts all of 15 minutes these days (remember when it was an hour? I sure as hell do) and tends to reset things that have gone haywire during the day. That link gives time in UTC so you can figure out when it is in your time zone.

I wouldn't wait to submit a ticket. CCP is pretty good at addressing new player issues and you should be able to get it resolved rather quickly.

Is this the first time you've encountered an acceleration gate? The problem may simply be that it's not on your overview

I have encountered and used gates many times. I am using the EVE University overlays but I am pretty sure they show the gates also. I actually expected a gate to be there and there was nothing

Did you ask for a mission reset and fill out the ticket as :

I filled the ticket out just like that. I described the problem but did not specifically ask for a reset
