Radial menu randomly stops working for a while (EBR-91070)

For over six months now I've had a very annoying problem where every couple hours the radial menu (where you left click something and hold the button until a ring of commands pops up around the cursor) stops working for no apparent reason. When it happens it becomes impossible to bring up that ring no matter where I click or how long I hold the button. If multiple clients are open the bug will affect one independently of the rest, though two clients had it at the same time once.

The menu seems to normally stop working after a session change like undocking or jumping a stargate/wormhole, but I haven't noticed any event or condition that precedes the bug starting. In most cases the menu starts working again after 5-10 minutes regardless of what I do, but there have been times when it didn't work immediately before jumping a gate but it worked again immediately after the session change.

I have a suspicion that it's related to doing something in another window and switching back to Eve. Every time it happens it seems like I was on another client or a web browser and just came back to give the command that doesn't work.

I run Windows 8.1 with three screens and Eve in Fixed Window mode. The bug normally happens when I was doing something one of the screens besides the one the Eve client was on.

Have you tried a different mouse? The radial menu pops after you've held the mouse button down for a given period of time, and if the mouse button is failing intermittently it's possible it's not registering as being held for long enough.

I'll poke someone to look into this on our end, but I'd recommend trying a different mouse if you have a chance.

i run 3 account, and its 100% chance that on one of them radial menu wont work from the start.

I have not tried a different mouse, but I have tried setting it to a different button and setting the delay to minimum, and neither made a difference. When the bug happens it's always on one client while others normally work fine, and dragging items in inventory or using the rectangle targeting thing with the same button work.

Thanks for taking a look. This bug has been very annoying to deal with.

I had a chance to try a different mouse and the menu still didn't work on that client.
