'Cause these event sites don't work the same way as the ones the Scope News UI was originally built for. Also, the event sites have been released in a pretty consistent pattern for a year now. We'll likely see another one in a couple of expansions.

The last event was quite large, and also burned out a lot of people. It was very intense as far as investment goes.

This event is different, it is designed to teach you what is going on, and to point to the coronation event. It also functions as a difference in kind against the SotS and a reprieve. I am more interested in how they will execute the Crimson Harvest, as that is a more proper 'world' event.

I interpreted the secondary purpose of the Scope UI (and that entire event) as an idea factory for a future mission system with more procedural elements. I imagine the Scope UI will be used again for more complex events, but even if it isn't, I don't think the work was "wasted," from CCP's perspective.

It was indeed mostly for testing if I remember what they said about it, so they may have gone with the assumption that the Scope News UI would largely disappear afterwards regardless of how the Shadow Serpentes events did or were received. They might already be working on a sort of Scope News UI 2.0 by now if that's the case.

Something tells me that these Purists aren't exactly the most piousand faithful type. Shield boosting on a Holy Amarr vessel? That's sacrilege on par withe heresy of the EOM.

MUCH BETTER CCP.

I've been saying it a lot, stick with what works, Crimson Harvest worked, the other stuff, not so much. I've completed a few Purity sites and they remind me much of CR. Well done.

Well it's not such a pure white, I added one to a Providence and found it a bit blergh really, a dirty white that looks like it needs a good clean.

I'm a bit bitter with this event .Once again CCP created decent PVE content without considering time investment/reward.
Currently more profitable to mine veldspard in a venture than trying to make money out of those skins.

I wish CCP introduce more PVE content who actually represent a challenge like standard and superior sleeper or cache and/or burner missions.
Even better would be new pirates incursions on a 3 months seasonal turn over...

So in the future CCP if you provide new content make it harder and more profitable please ...

I like the event. The skins could be nicer though. I understand what you're going for with it, but maybe a pearly white with red or silver accents or something would've been better. The bland white wears thin after a while.
