Anyone else having trouble with these event sites?

I don't even have time to lock the last event ship before a pile of people warp in kill it grab whatever and warp off. That is even if I can find a site. *This isn't a whining post.* But I am curious if others are having the same issue? Cause really this is a pointless exercise in gate jumping for me at least. Hope others are having better luck.

Well presumably whoever is grabbing the loot in your sites is having better luck, at the very least, no? Blink

I don't no, the people who try to run them in the system I'm in seem to thoughEvil

Tip: the BC spawns within 1000k of the fortified Bunker, sit on that, kill it as soon as possible, younk loot, blow razberrys in local.

I suppose I could say to get out of highsec, but really, the biggest thing is to stay out of the populated areas of highsec. There are so many dead-end areas and islands that people never go to and where the sites end up piling up that it gets kind of crazy.

So far I have seen any in 0.0, so effectively, no site, no problem.

Yesterday evening one of my highsec characters noticed a site while doing his industry. I didn't bother with it - expected it wouldn't last long this early in the event even in my backwater system. When I finished my industry there were 3 sites in system so I switched to a cruiser and ran them - which basically consisted of orbiting the beacon and launching drones. Got skins for a Redeemer, Revelation and Sigil. Didn't see a soul.

Problem is the system your in is full of farmers, your only good solution is to find a low population system then your odds are better.

Just be faster and do more DPS in shorter time to either win the race to own the wreck, or steal the loot. If you don't like competition go to lowsec outside the FW areas.

Dear CCP

Can you create a program in our Accounts Page that will accept our mobile device number and have Event dates sent to us via SMS/text? With multiple events coming (and hopefully more to come in the future) it would be great to have such a feature available.

Make sure to keep in mind that some data charges may apply and you will need to contact your phone service provider for more details.

To the OP, move around. Look on your map (old one, I don't know if you can do this on the beta one) for systems with very few "jumps in 24 hours" or what ever that setting is and look for small, blue lit systems. Avoid high traffic areas like trade and mission hubs. Set up a "patrol" route that you can ping pong back and forth and go ham on any site that you run into. They go fast, so even then you will not be the first or only one running them very often. The SKINs are not worth that much anyways, whether you're selling them for profit or gathering them for actual unlocking.

No trouble at all. I found a Tengu to kill in one a couple of days ago (see my KB for details), and scored the skin that the site dropped as well, for Guardian.

These sites are so easy you can run them in a 100% pvp fit ship. Someone stealing loot? Teach him or her some space manners :) Or go around looting yourself. Content.

As people mentioned, there are regions (even HS, watch JohnyPew on youtube) with every low to none activity where you can find multiple sites per system.

Bingo. Someone nailed it on the head. CCP want everyone and their mother to be able to run them. Even if you are hunting for other players, these sites can be a good catalyst or, baring worthy prey or predator, a quick SKIN drop for your troubles.

Yesterday I saw 4 sites just 2 jumps from Lanngisi and I was alone in local. Since sites are pretty much useless comparing to L4 mission (apply white skins on golden amarr ships is most stupid decision you can ever make regarding to ship exterier, IMHO; most ships look so dull after that) I ignored them also.

I was alone in a dead system that barely saw 2 to 3 person on a populated time.
My luck ran out though when a Sacrileage beat me to the loot.

However i did loot the Armageddon Navy issue skin earlier so I guess that is a good thing.

was lucky today: 7 sites in one system. jumped 2 systems : 3 sites. My edge of New Eden seams to be less populated because yesterday I've flown 20+ systems with just 2 sites and in my edge 2 systems each with 2. CCP should take a look at the distribution of the sides, they pile up in low or systems with low population.

That's how it works: when one site is completed new one is created randomly somewhere. If it does not get finished it stays there. This naturally collects sites in non-popular systems.
