Honestly... Yours is a portrait style I am very fond of. , The armor and pose are excellent, very formal, the look, expression and tone communicate a great deal. Good use of soft lighting basically negates the "armor problem"... nicely done btw... and of course since you are a fellow with fine taste in eyewear, you receive a full point extra for that.

A portrait fit to be hung... 9.5/10

Simple and efficient, but I'd have picked another pose, crossed arms in EVE are rendered in an horrible way, and it shows. I'd also suggest working a bit more on the lighting, the luminosity seems a tad too bright compared to your background.

Still it's not a bad portrait :)

Wow. I really like this. Sadly, the expression leaves a bit to be desired. You look quite dull, try introducing some character into your face! Staring straight ahead with a half-smile towards an off-frame point is very unengaging.

Otherwise, colors+framing+lighting on point. I'd suggest a *bit* closer framing, but dat armour tho. I really love your facial detail. Gorgeous.

It's hard to do a good profile shot - but yours is good! The hair frames the face well, and the colors and shadows work - my only suggestion is that the background might be a little light in comparison to the rest of the shot.

Your character reminds me somewhat of Paul Atreides from Lynch's Diuna. Noble face. I see one of the most convincing facial expressions that people could achieve with character creator.
The implants dont ruin the face and expression, they fit, and add to the character when paired with shirt, and shirt chosen is top-notch.

I dont know why I would not give 10/10

I give 10/10.

You are dressed very distinctive from other pilots, but your pale skin starkly clashes with your dark clothes and setting. While I do like the pose which gives off an expression that suggests that you'd rather get back to work, you are wearing a rugged vest over a nice shirt. I can't imagine what job you must do, certainly not one working with tools or engines. 7/10

I do like what you're going for. The greyish green, sick skin, the white hair and the red jacket as a contrast work well in my opinion. The background is ok. It doesn't fit 100%, but I can't think of another right now that might work better. Maybe flip through them, but keep a monochrome feel to it.

What definitely needs improvement is your pose and the lighting, especially around the nose and upper lip. Just makes that part look weird.

I've looked at it long and hard and I can't find a single criticism.

She looks like a harsh, cold commander, bordering on cruel. Not a pirate, but a capsuleer who enjoys playing military command structures to her own advantage.

And the avatar itself. You make that background work. And a perfect play of shadows across her face, and I mean perfect, because there's no weird glitches, blemishes; look at that nose shadow... and the way it plays over the left eye... Shocked

Great choice of eyes as well, with the tiny irises. That's a thousand AU stare if there is one; cool, empty, deeply awesome.

The expression is what really ties the whole thing together.

And the face augmentations! ♥♥♥ The unusual, chiseled quality of the face is all the more spectacular because of it.

Good gravy, I'm having a hard time trying to think of just how to describe how perfect your new portrait is. Its another example of how deeply unique a portrait can actually be made, if someone puts in the effort. And its my new favourite.

...I need to go have a smoke.

Perfection/10.

@ Kairavi:
honestly, I'm kind of bummed out... about myself. Looking at portraits like this makes me feel I've not done anything interesting in ages...*sigh*

But about this portrait:
calm expression, facial details+augmentations, pose, choice of background and lights, I find those all well done AND interesting.

Only thing a bit overpowering is the prosthetic arm and the way it dominates portrait. If the background would have some kind of off-center focal point - in this case on the left - it would make this more balanced IMO. In any case, 9/10

10/10. No question. This is a spectacular portrait.

Frankly, I think nearly ever one of your portraits is a 10/10 for me. Miiral is a gorgeous woman and you've got great taste in composition, lighting, and color.

3 out of 10, she was looking for something dropped on the floor when the picture was taken.

Your avatar's always been a tough one for me. The face is an instant classic, with rich texture and shadow enhanced by the tattooing. The red's a nice touch, too. Expression... well, you goddamn nailed it. Those eyes are stunning.

However, the dreads just kill this. In the thumbnail, the weird off-white makes everything confusing, and blown up, the bizarre pillow-like texture they have ruins the depth of your face.

The lighting doesn't help the hair--while the strong key lighting works wonderfully in enhancing your face, it just makes your hair even duller and more boring. Additionally, your choice of background is dismal. The dark colors don't help the hair feel unified, and the blue/green colors make no sense against the rich tones of the skin and the red jacket. It's just a really bad background anyways, and it's the final nail in the coffin for this avatar. First impression is one of something just randomly thrown together, and it's only upon closer inspection that the care in the the character is evident.

2/10--it's not fun to look at. Your face is an easy 9/10, but I can't see that in the thumbnail because of the loose framing, and the rest of the train wreck of composition draws my eye away from it when blown up.

My advice? Just... lose the dreads. Go bald and wait for CCP to release a better model. Change your background to one that works. Tighten up your framing once your hair's gone. It'll be really good-looking, but you will lose the "wild mystic dude" feel. If you have to go for that, redye your hair to something that's not the color of dirty socks and maybe works better with your lighting.
