Sometime since the last update my game and launcher have stopped working. When I start the launcher, I can see the process is launched, but the window never opens.

It doesn't generate a crash log, but does generate a 0-byte dump file. I've tried pretty much every fix I could find on these forums, but no luck (yes, i tried QT_OPENGL=[desktop|software|angle], didn't work).

I also tried running the game directly from exefile, but it just crashed immediately.

At this point I've gotten frustrated enough to risk a full re-download and have even completely removed EVE (uninstalled via control panel, manually removed all remaining files in AppData, ProgramData, etc. Also manually deleted all registry keys relating to eve) and reinstalled from scratch.

It still happens. The launcher will not open. I can't even get to the stage of re-downloading the game now.

wtf plz.

(I'm on win 7 with geforce gtx 765m. Graphics drivers are up-to-date.)

Update: It seems to be working fine today. Which pisses me off even more because now its quite clear there was a server down or something yesterday. But instead of giving me a simple error box explaining that, it kept quiet and did nothing. So I missed an AT practice, and spent 4 hours debugging for nothing.

I guess now I'll just re-download the game and get all my preferences set back up.

Terrible guys. Terrible.

I'd like to bump this cause my brother has exact same issue.

When he tries to open launcher, process starts and uses 25% of CPU almost constant. However, no window appears.

It works fine for me, while for him it was working just yesterday - then he updated GPU drivers, played The Crew a bit, and launcher stopped appearing when he tried the next time.

And it's quite important for him to be able to play - he's young and has no job yet, is a new player, and wants to play - he can't afford losing gametime days as much as most others can.

We tried everything on his PC except uninstalling drivers (cause other games don't work for him almost at all on iGPU - quite understandable) - reinstalling completely, running as admin, QT_OPENGL variable, and even using my launcher files in case something simply broke for him - no luck.
