Seriously, how the hell has nobody thought of white paint before these idiots?

Only the liberty of the individual assures the prosperity of the whole. And this foundation must be defended.

At any cost

Because white isn't nearly as awe-inspiring as gold. Also, when being conquering douchebags, you don't want to put forth purity, you want to put forth the grandeur fo the Empire.

A Minmatar warship is like a rusting Beetle with 500 horsepower Cardillac engines in the rear, armour plating bolted to chassis and a M2 Browning stuck on top.

Navy vessels are white, just not entirely.

That doesn't work when roughly 25% of all of the ships in the cluster are gold, and the "super elite speshul" ones are silver and black, making gold look "standard"

But think of this in the POV of a poor pre-space flight virgin civilisation ripe for plunder. They look up and see these golden cathedral-like behemoths. Wouldn't be nearly as impactful had those ships being white.

If you care to split hairs, technically the Amarr ships still have gold plating, but the SKIN technology only makes it appear like it's white!

And we all know Khanid are edgelords with edgy ships painted black and edgier names.

White is so noticeable in the black void of space.

Have you seen footage of Empress Jamyl's coronation, Mr. Galente?

It's a little impressive.

(Manufacturers associated with a certain Great House tend to dress their more special creations up appropriately. Black and silver are House Khanid's heraldic colors.)

(I admittedly do kind of doubt anyone's going to be releasing a SKIN, soon, that lets you dress your Curse up as an Arbitrator, though.)

It just occurred to me: does it seem a little grim to anyone else that we're taking the SKINs of our enemies as trophies and decorating our ships with them? I mean-- I guess it's only metaphorically grizzly, but....

(Also, what in all the worlds am I going to do with three "Purity" Avatar SKINs? I'm sure there must be more of these than there are Avatars in service by now.)

I believe the Kor-Azor Family, Amarr Navy, Nefantar Tribe, and Sisters of Eve use a white color scheme. What I find particularly interesting (and distressing) is the Kor-Azor Family is the only Amarrian royal house to never release paint schemes for capsuleer use, and then a heretical movement steals the exact same scheme.

It is not the same. The Kor-Azor livery uses silver where the standard general-use Amarrian livery would use gold - much like the Khanid livery, actually.

At this point, I think impressing paleolithic societies is the least of the Amarr's concerns.

It's not actually gold plating. Gold would make for terrible armor, would actually weaken it. Gold is naturally a very soft and stringy metal. Hell, ancient steel was much stronger and that's very outdated itself.

So is "Matigu Seabeast", miss!

And that glaring neon red crap I see on every Minokawa in nullsec...

Also, I plan on putting this skin on my frigates/destroyers. If it draws their eyes away from a blackbird and towards an Executioner or Coercer, that's a good thing.

You're correct, it's not exactly the same as I previously stated, but still far too close for comfort. I suppose I exaggerated a bit out of frustration.

I, for one, was somewhat amused by the Empress Catiz 1's decision for her entourage to appear in ships in the "Purity of the Throne" colour scheme.

Most amusing.

Yes, I believe I received broadcast transmissions of the sentiment: "dank" and "lmao what a troll"

I was quite confused.
