Can Flipping against EULA?

EDIT:I'm not here solely to rant. I would like clarification as well. Is it against the EULA?

Eve GM's are sending out threatening mails to players about can flipping.

Not myself, but a member of my main's corp received a mail in regards to can flipping. It is not our fault that someone read the message that says "this person and their entire corp can shoot you", and they still clicked YES. This is now THEIR fault and any repercussions are no fault of our own. My main will usually red box as a result of a can flip for some 1v1 frig fun :)

The only time GM's ever get involved is when you do this in the 1.0 security systems where newbies start out. Can baiting/harrassing newbies in their training systems is verboten.

I will have to ask where he was. It was not specified by my corp mate if it was in 1.0 or elsewhere. Although, Myself, and other corp mates alike, flipped for quite sometime in Jouvalen before moving to Amarr space and never once had been contacted by a GM. I understand if they do it just in newbie systems, since too many new characters get scarred away.

Is this a new thing?

No, not new. You probably got away with it before because nobody complained.

It's not a new thing, cowards have relied on killing noobs rather than doing real PvP since day one.

If you consider at least 3 years new - sure (at least I think first time saw that stuff was around qr/buocrypha)... thing is: most new players don't know about such stuff themselves, so...

to clarify

can flipping in my main's corp is not a normal thing anymore. maybe you didnt read above, we moved on from that. but some still do it when they get bored.

my main's corp does war decs and merc work, and in less than a year's existence is sitting just outside the top 1K on battleclinic.

this thread wasnt directed at you, troll elsewhere.

I would like your post, however real PvP in an game where exploiting weakness is the major feature ?
Or real PvP is done in pub, cage, war ..
But some people take this game seriously and their honor into it .. and for them i salute you.

Just tell your corpmate to move to Arnon, it's much better than rookie systems.

Also tell him he's going to need some spare ships.

btw,

gate camping 10 v 1 in lowsec isnt real pvp either. been there done that, YarrC. Pirate it took forever to grind my sec status back.

blob wars in nullsec is **** too.

PvP is what you make it. The game has several different mechanics in place to allow for it.

my preferred form of PvP is roaming fleets through NPC nullsec

Nothing to do with 1.0 systems.

If you can flip or bait in ANY of the tutorial systems (3 per race = 12) then you get the banstick. Edit - doesn't matter who you bait or flip, you get banned if petitioned.

No its not new.

Personally I think you should be permabanned as you know quite well what you're doing.

I've seen OLD characters fall for can flipping.

If CCP didn't want it as a part of the game, they would eliminate the mechanics. But they didn't.

They actually tweaked the mechanics to make it more 1v1 capable.
