The release 118.8 has been deployed on September 13. To report Mac specific issues or general feedback, please post in this thread.



The 118.8 release brings us lots of high quality visual updates - redesign of several frigate sized hulls and new visual effects -, a rebalance of the mining barges/exhumers, and an exciting new Purity of the Throne event related to the coronation of the new Empress. We also will get a large amount of general improvements and bug fixes.

Unsure if Mac-only issue or not, but since today's update I can no longer doubleclick on buy orders to open the 'buy' window. Still works on sell orders.

After today I experience some terrible lag: FPS is dropped on half, modules are not activating right after i use them, etc! OS X El capitan 10.11.6/ MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Mid 2015) 16GB ram Intel Iris Pro

Same here. The Mac client had been running remarkably smoothly for the last couple of months, to the extent that I used it more often than rebooting into Windows.

But since the patch, it's horrible - super laggy, and FPS often drops into single digits, especially on session changes. In station it's not too bad, the market/contracts/etc. respond reasonably well, but as soon as you undock it's completely unplayable, even in potato mode.

OSX El Capitan 10.11.6, 3.4GHz iMac 27", 8GB RAM, GTX775M.

2-October-2016: Already Submitted support ticket but hope maybe either this will be helpful or others may know an answer.

Error appears on the launcher after pressing play button "Client Closed Unexpectedly Client assigned to (username) has closed unexpectedly." I checked the error logs and, drumroll please, error 404 (Joy, so very happy!!!)

Running Eve on : iMac with Yosemite Version 10.10.5 Plenty of speed, plenty of space. The launcher was running fine 2 days ago (the last time I logged) and it appeared to open and download the latest Wine files today (Tranquility Version 1079031 - and preferences are set to : "Wine version: Latest") but after entering user/password and click play button, above error happens.

As a side note, there was a message to download X11because it could not be used due to discontinued support. So dutifully went to apple and downloaded XQuartz as X11 is no longer supported/included (whatever that means). I had thought this was the source of the issue (because the pop-up kept appearing after the patching of the launcher finished - by the way, the error occurred both before and after downloading XQuartz.

Just wondering, I haven't been banned from EVE and not realize it, have I??? If so, never got any notification but, it might be a little entertaining for everyone else, lol.

Any thoughts?

I had the same problem as Robert Parr. Also running EVE on a Mac.

Now my launcher works again:
CCP told me to uncheck the button that makes Wine run in DEV mode. You find that in the settings.
As soon as you uncheck it, the launcher downloads something. After that it can log in.

I am not sure if this was an unintended consequence of the graphics revamp, but my Prot is not looking so hawt. The reflections on the silver metal parts make no sense, the green shine seems to cluttering up anywhere there is complex skin mapping to . Please take a look at this.
