Why can't I warp to book mark of decommissioned citadel

Sounds like when BM'ing the citadel itself it may save the location of the citadel (so if it gets moved your bm will warp you to the new place) and in this case since it's now gone, there's no coordinates to warp to.

See what result the petition brings, because there is stuff here making no sense. You say your only options are
Quote:
"Approach Location" and "Dock" no matter where in space I am
but you don't get the option to "Dock" at a bookmark.

What is it about Citadels that makes BMs different to EVERYTHING else in the game?

New code. Likely a bug.

EVE was very successful in teaching me paranoia.

After I lost my first stuff in space due to missing bookmarks (drones if I remember well), I started to bookmark space additionally to item bookmarks. Whenever I'm done somewhere i.e missions turned in, done for the day, I clean the bookmarks up. It's pretty fast and has saved me from disaster a couple of times already.

Remove standings and insurance.

It is a bug, and if I read the patch notes for the Sep 13 update correctly, it will be patched then.

Sorry I meant Local Space not in every system or region. 😇

Too late for me. 😱

That's okay though because I'll start over again and this time go for a Fortizar and then I can run a market.

i noticed this bug on the test server months ago, I would bookmark freeport citadels (since there were no "Structures" folder when I right-click in space at that time) and later they were either destroyed or unanchored after which I could no longer warp to them. Had this been implemented properly, I should still be able to warp to the location where they used to be.

Workarounds are not bugfixes.

If it makes you feel any better there are people who watch for decomissioning citadels and it was probably stolen within minutes of unanchoring - so you probably couldn't have retrieved it anyway.

With the public status of citadels and the extremely long unanchoring timer - you should probably consider any Citadels you place permanent (at least in high-sec) - because if you try to unanchor it there is a very high probability it will be stolen.

Just FYI for your next one.

The dead swans lay in the stagnant pool. They lay. They rotted. They turned Around occasionally. Bits of flesh dropped off them from Time to time. And sank into the pool's mire. They also smelt a great deal.

That doesn't seem like a good game plan.

I wonder if they could put a hours long timer after the decommissioning period at which only the owner could scoop it up. For example 12 hours, after which it's fodder for anyone.

I can safely say that the 13 September update did NOT fix the bookmark issue.

Same deal.

Lesson learned. Don't use game mechanics the way they should be used. ;-)
