'Weapon Accuracy Score"

So this feels unfinished. You replace tracking speed which had a perfect metric to complement it with rad/s and it even had an overview column which let you judge your tracking efficiency in combat.

We now have this weird number that's not really relevant to anything in the game we can measure.

If the purpose was to make things harder by not giving us something to judge our tracking by: well done.

However I don't feel this was it and the project with the tracking got pushed down the list of things and now we're stuck with it.

Can we please just revert this until such time which this whole change will be rolled out in one cohesive patch?

Ok it doesn't have to perfect but this example is kinda ridiculous :p

Even with the old metrics you had to do some mental arithmetic with your guns sig radius and (what you estimated to be) your targets sig radius in conjunction with the rad/s values to actually work out whether you could track or not.

CCP could add a "Evasion Score" to the overview based on the angular velocity and sig radius, but this would involve adding sig radius information to the overview which is currently not available and this may be undesirable.

Personally I just judge the tracking using my experience and by hit quality anyway - the mental arithmetic required is too much for a combat situation where I have better things to worry about.

+1, at least include the tracking speed for now until we have time to get use to this scoring shenanigans.

"Tomahawks?"

"----in' A, right?"

"Trouble is, those things cost like a million and a half each."

"----, you pay me half that and I'll hump in some c4 and blow the ---- out of it my own damn self."

+1

It's dumb, I spent about 10 minutes looking for tracking speed, couldn't find it, thought it must be a bug. Reset client, still not there, and then I notice this score thing.

Which makes no god damn sense. WHY??

I'm going to go ahead and agree with this OP before the people I hate to agree with post on it, too. Cool

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

i agree, the only use for the score is to compare weapons in a table, once you undock it lost its use.

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

Agreed, the single metric score is pretty bad indeed.

and even for the argument that the tracking stat had to be considered with the scan resolution of the weapon in mind that's an easy calculation in your head. you know small to big weapons have 40, 120 and 400m. frigate, cruiser, battleship. if i engage a frigate with bs sized guns i have to divide by 10 in general as a rule of thumb.

Ah I see that they are catering for the newbros that are coming in.
Just worry about accuracy score rather than rads and tracking speed.
