If CCP screws up, waive the jump timers

I just made several jumps. At the end of waiting out the timers etc. I found the client misbehaving, and as is so often the case, got a load of socket closed crap.

After quitting and taking the dogs for a walk I find that that not only have i been set back *two jumps* (quite a wait), I now have to make these cyno jumps again (was there a server rollback?). I don't think I should have to sit out this crap twice over, especially with an expensive cargo dangling its arse in the wind.

And why the hell do I need to enter all the passwords and characters on each account again? It's stressful enough as it is, let alone with a random quiz about your passwords and character names.

Pretty shit, CCP. Pretty shit.

At least you got to go outside and be with your dogs.

There's a million angry citizens looking down their tubes..at me.

Well, true.

Though what's with all the enter your passwords, character names, favourite sexual position, name of first geography teacher, cube roots of unity, etc. that is required to log in now?

They don't want us to make the wrong mistake.

We must accommodate the idiocracy.

Sounds like you need to have a word with your ISP and check your equipment rather than directing this at CCP

No client misbehavior here, nor any network issues in the past month. Some market-lag going on in Jita atm, but everyone in local is saying it too.

Check your equipment.

Try using VPN in one of those days. Sometimes taking different route to EVE server solves issues. If you try multiple routes and still get problem, even then I would say it's mostly to do with local issues. When there is CCP server issue it's pretty obvious and you see people make a thousand posts here.

Also a good place to check is your local eve community. Say, if you lived in Germany and not many complaining on EVE general forums but lots of people reporting on German forums, then there's the problem part.

Cheers Love! The cavalry's here!

I know lots of people that have been randomly getting "socket closed" the last couple of days. Ive gotten it several times. I know its neither my ISP nor my PC because i usually run multiple accounts at a time and only one will randomly get the socket closed. Its something on CCP's end.

I wont be doing anything to "create content" in game until they get it sorted.

I run at the very minimum 2 clients at any time. I've never experienced a socket closed unless my internet has dropped.

Usually I agree, however there has been a sharp uptick in socket issues in the last 48 hours for both myself and a large number of my corp mates. I've also had 7-8 clients running and clients in the same system will drop, the ones in the system next door remain connected. Definitely not ISP issues.

Could be particular nodes acting up I guess. I live in wormhole space and I've not seen anything on slack relating to massive loss of connection.

People having socket closed errors, mind putting which system you were in at the time from now on? Might find some obvious pattern with this.

There are numerous reasons why you socket will close on you. Most of them occur between your computer and your ISP routing your traffic.
