Possibility to reset entire skill tree?

I know there will be millions of reason that you think and reply that resetting entire skill tree is worthless.

But,

I just want it, even with a price.

Through so many years and expansions in EVE Online, I just want to have a chance to clean up my mind and to become someone different from what I have experienced before. I mean, I am the first group of people who went into wormhole, or even before wormhole expansion release I already done many many scanning with full cargo holds of different kind of probes. As well I experienced in sitting in Dodixie and keep on changing orders for hours while managing my plant factories. I know how to make T2 and T3 from the very beginning.

But

There is one thing I haven't done yet.

Which is to shoot something.

I know there are a lot of people who played longer than me, and I have to say I keep on afk and come back to EVE due to my personal IRL issues, my character is not well developed during the past years in EVE. I do not have time to wait until what I want to do is available in skill training wise. YES you can says I should keep on sub to my account and keep my skill training. But it is your option, not mine. I may need to afk a little bit again sooner, with no time to put into game or even touching my laptop.

And ofc you can say anything that my need of skill reset is bullshit. I am not going to argue about that. I do respect your opinion. I hope you do the same.

I just want to have some sort of way to reset my skill tree, with fee, with limitation, no matter how. So I can do things I want when I can play EVE

Because, 1st, I am a loyal customer of EVE online as any of you do. 2nd, I put love in my Character as any of you do. 3rd, I need a way to enjoy EVE as I want as any of you do.

Thank you.

The short answer is no you cannot "remap" your skill points. Remap is generally the common English term for this concept.

However, with the introduction of skill extractors and injectors this is now possible to some degree. There are a list of restrictions to at his process and it will take isk to accomplish. It may not be worth the cost especially if your character has a lot of skil points as the amount pulled out from one skill will be higher then the amount you can put in a new skill.

This may help explain it a little more:

Or you could buy a combat character in the Character Bazaar.

'If they take the ship, they'll rape us to death, eat our flesh, and sew our skins onto their clothing. And if we're very, very lucky, they'll do it in that order.'

Yeah, we're like that.

The thing to remember is at one time in the past you trained those skills for a reason and you probably used them to make ISK. Granted you may not be using them now but sometime in the future you may need to use them again.

I have a lot of skills trained up that I don't currently use. I won't use skill extractors to remove them because I'd rather be prepared in case I need them in the future. Even if those skills are rarely used, I believe it's better to have them trained and available to use when the need arises than to not have them trained.

This.

You can extract and inject skills so effectively remapping yourself at a price. Thats your solution.

All my views are my own - never be afraid to post with your main, unless you're going to post some dumb shit

Not really a viable one in many cases. Would take 175,000,000,000 isk in extractors, roughly $6000 dollars of plex and you would lose roughly 100,000,000 skillpoints for a 2003 char

Step 1. Extract all skill points - set aside somewhere safe.
Step 2: Biomass
Step 3: Create new character, preferably one with a cute bum.
Step 4. Inject skill points.
Step 5. Huzzah. You're now you, version 2.0

By some combination of:

a) Buying a combat character in the bazaar. and
b) Buying and using injectors

You can get a pretty solid combat character very quickly now.

You could maybe even sell your main to fund this process (but really think that one over first)

One of my alt characters is an industrial/mining character and makes the vast majority of its profit that way. But for a while, I was training up that character for mission running and pvp use. But the PvP part stopped about 2 years ago and was continuously mining and manufacturing since then until about yesterday.

By the time I came back to pvp, CCP has made so many changes to every single pvp-worthy ship that pvp as I knew it no longer exists. I immediately found myself in a situation where I might as well be new to pvp all over again. So here I am roaming around low-sec in a Rifter dying and learning in the process. More and more fights have been close and thus I learned more.

The skill points that were invested in pvp-related skill books were never wasted for those 2 years that I have been doing nothing but mining and manufacturing. They were just dormant until I got bored of industry and went back to pvp.

Much like real life you can not forget a skill you learned.

Did you change jobs? can you suddunly forget what you learned? no.

As said, either 1) extract all yoru skills and reapply them how you want.

2) extract all yoru skills, make a new char on your second slot, contract skills to new char, biomass old.

3) make new char in second slot, biomass first

I extracted all the Invention and Production based skills off of one of my alts and made about 12 bil IIRC. Now I'm training more useful things for my current playstyles.

I think a skill remap would defeat much of the purpose of new Skill Point market.

Personally I would never extract & inject back. Sure you get to cover some cost of injectors through selling extractors, but it's just terribly bad trade unless you are absolutely set on never using those skills ever again.

Just make more ISK using the skills you already have and inject the new skills you need. If you have to extract your SP to come up with ISK for what you want to do in EVE then I would say you are in pretty bad situation in game.

If you've been a heavy industry guy and been doing so many things as you say then surely you'd have pretty decent BPO collections? If I wanted to stop doing industry I would rather sell researched cap/component BPOs to buy injectors than extract SP & re-inject at loss. It just feels too inefficient.

Or you can even make your own SP farms and use those to pop out injectors for you. You can sell some and use some for yourself. It's more flexible that way.

Cheers Love! The cavalry's here!

or.. sell your current main on the char bizarre (make an alt) once you have sold him, use the money and buy yourself a new combat char with the skills you want.
