New player, while I do my career missions and learn to play the game... there is some ts3 open chat servers where ppl without/with corps can stay? just to have a general feeling that they dont play alone (even if they do).

I'm sure there are; you can probably google "public EVE teamspeak."

Keep in mind, though, that your internet IP address will be visible to the teamspeak server admin, and when you log into teamspeak to chat, you possibly establish a relationship between your IP address and your character. So if you **** people off in-game, some may take it too far and directly attack your internet connection with a DDOS (denial of service) attack, in order to disconnect you from the game at the moment when they blow up your ship.

So there is some risk.

Usually we only reveal our characters to game-related sites or voice-chat servers if we trust them. Public sites have an unknown trustworthiness.

Most TS servers in eve are tied to groups of players that play together. Have a look at the sticky thread in this subforum on how to find the right corp for you. The sooner you make some friends the more enjoyable your experience will be.

There is an in-game voice capability. It's the only one our fleet generally uses. It can be used in a chat channel or in a fleet.

In a previous alliance we used TS3, they had their own server.

Perhaps the best thing you can do is if you find a group you want to fly with, ask them what they use and ask to be invited.

that's why I recommend Discord to everybody I know

any service asking for your IP address is not safe especially when there's better options like raidcall and Discord
and raidcall and Discord you cannot bypass a banned it's a good thing for guilds to use in general it would be especially useful for you guys in eve

so you don't have to worry about constant harassment from somebody you banned a long time ago using a loophole in the system to hack back in cough cough TeamSpeak and by the way both of those programs are free

problem with public ts is that you csn get ppl you do not want in channel, and eve players do not like unwanted people on ts.
