The first time I went to 0.0 with my main, I thought I would bring along a Hulk, a Rifter and some fittings for both of them

Well, I made the stupid greedy mistake of taking the hulk out to do some mining cause I had seen how stacked the belts were.

Needless to say, within 10 minutes or so, a roam came through the system I was mining in and I lost the hulk (but not my pod, thankfully)

That would be the worst loss I have suffered

Devour to survive, so it is, so it's always been Eve is a great game if you can get past all of the asshats....

When wormholes were new....

Took myself, and alt, 2 tengus, salvage cormorant, covops scout and an orca into a c4. Farmed that thing dry of 1.4bil of sleeper loot, then headed back to empire. *Nearly* made it back, but due to failscouting lost the orca with 2 tengus in it. Total loss was about 2.5 bil, plus alts pod.

None of the loot dropped (thankyou corp hanger Twisted

). 1/2 a day ragequit later, I picked myself up and got back to the grind.

From that day to this I never left empire space again, and run missions 23/7 to avoid all the mean gankers and e-bullies. Just kidding, I joined a wh corp and started killing other ppls orcas instead :)

I managed to lose a Navy Apoc in a level 4 mission last night. Wasn't paying attention, didn't take out the scramming frigs first and also got full room aggro.
That's probably my most expensive individual isk loss. Certainly the "worst" in terms of utterly boring ways to lose a ship. Made slightly worse by the fact I'd done said mission dozens of times before in a normal Apoc and come out unscathed.

I do remember also losing a Geddon to one of my first level 4 missions back in like, 2006 or 7. Back in the days where every single isk had great worth.

Worst in terms of sillyness is the first time I went to do some solo pvp (on this char actually!), involved using a thorax to try and gank someone on the lowsec side of a 0.5 system. Gate guns got me, although it was pre-HP buff back in 2005 iirc.

I tried to solo tank guristas maze.. in an 2,8 bil tengu ..

last pocket looked good... for about 100 sec. then i went down pretty fast.. It was before DT .. so not even drop was collected..

thats also answer what people doing with their farmed ISK. Big smile

I lost a drake in Venal once due to dual boxing.

I wasn't paying attention while grinding sec status. I actually thought to myself "I need to check my other screen and see if anyone has came into local". Almost at the exact same time a dramiel landed on me. followed by a fleet. followed by horrible lag and my pod. Then, on my way back after getting podded out of the area, i landed on a smartbomb gate camp. Big smile

2 pods in about 45 minute time span. Luckily I updraged my clone before undocking.

It was more of a "Eve just kicked my ass again" moment than anything else...

...Can't. Tell. If ...Troll? Or Serious....

This was a funny one. Within the first 30 seconds I got accepted into RvB Red Federation. I did not know that they were currently at war with an outside corp. I was currently on my way to Isikemi, minding my own business, when they got me on the next gate I passed.

I am sorry to hear that you lost your Nightmare, Karn and I sincerely hope that you will recover from the loss.
I gave you a like to comfort you. You can either keep it or give it back once you feel better again.

Worst single ship loss, a Machariel.
Worst loss that didn't happen, a different Machariel due to client glitch, but the logs showed nothing.
Worst total loss was due to corp theif.
Worst loss due to game bug, auto-piloting an industrial when there was a bug that ignored the security status of systems and it sent me (and hundreds of others) through low-sec.
Most humorous loss, getting hit by customs and forced in to -isk. (had to file a 'stuck' petition because I didn't have enough for the fine and they would not let me go)

I lost 5 vultures in a battle, also the most expensive losses in a single battle. Two good fit vultures, one long range and one short range, then an experimental setup I was testing, lol. That was like 3-4 years ago.
