Proteus cloak solo fit recommendations

Hey,

Been a while since i last played and getting back into it to try out some pvp.

Here is my outdated cloaky fit any recommendations would be great.

Planning to have a fit for some solo in null and group hunting any help would be appreciated.

Also considering the Stratios as i am a very drone orientated fighter with almost all lvl 5 in drones. But struggling to find some good pvp fits as all are widely argued.

You don't have a repper but are fitting the nano bot sub system, that doesn't make much sense. Replace with the HP increasing one, afaik that doesn't affect your slotting. The rest seems to look all right (don't have access to EFT atm).

This is the Prot I have. I would suggest being local tanked unless you plan on bringing logi, The proteus is a slow brick of a ship as well so having more speed is always useful. 900dps tank before links and drugs, 573dps with Antimatter, 640 with void. Feel free to switch out a mag stab for a DC if you think you might need more tank. Personally it's a mix bag, as a cloaky hunter you don't really need a shitton of tank, but the proteus benfits quite well from a DC. However you do need a fair amount of DPS burn a ratter before his backup comes on grid

However I would however go with Tsukino and say use a stratios. This fit was suggest a while back, but it needs a 2% CPU implant. 600dps. And it should tank enough to burn a ratter.

The main reason to choose a Prot over a Stratios is the nullifier, that in and of itself makes it worthwhile to fly the Prot.

The XL Shield Stratios fit linked is my one and is far superior to the LSE variant. The only downside is when deep null hunting you burn cap boosters at a faster rate per gank than a LSE fit, which can cause resupply issues.

As for a hunter Proteus i would seriously consider a non covert cloak variant. If you are just hunting players running anoms this will kill any sub cap farming them up to and including Marauders and Rattlesnakes. You have to get very used to the MWD + Cloak trick and the fit can be adjusted to include combat probing (at the loss of increased point range) and regular probing if required.

You can easily adjust this fit to be cheaper and i used to run it with 1-5 Slaves and a 603 PG implant. This is only really to be used in NS/LS and not WHs for obvious reasons. X2 DDA, x1 EANM or x1 DDA, EANM, Armor hardener its totally up to you. You can also keep both DDAs and switch out the eanm for an explosive hardener, totally up to you.

Drones to taste

Both are similar in idea to the poster above, except they're designed to get to anoms much faster than you would otherwise be able to. The AAR+RAH with exile will tank anoms plus the ratter's dps long enough for you to score a kill. You can obviously switch the friction extention processor and emergent locus as needed. but I always find myself carrying an expanded probe launcher and mobile depot, you never know what you'll find in space.

Both have upsides, but I find the second fit to be more to my liking, as the extra DPS pressure+two neuts is a pretty even trade for two more neuts. You don't need bling on either fit for them to work, but each piece that you invest just adds a little more to your capability. For instance, faction or deadspace neuts keep you away from scram range to help avoid traps, a faction point, MWD and damage mods are also pretty self explanatory.

I wouldn't get too fixated on the need for a covops cloak all the time. They're certainly nice, but to use one you generally have to sacrifice your neuts, which leaves you in a really bad situation vs anything with an active tank. A 702 agility implant also helps, as it shaves a second of your align time.
