Helo, I have just re-subbed, but will not have my shiny new computer util this Friday. Is there any way to get my skills training without downloading the client?

Thanks

- Internet-cafe (in my country, most of them have various MMO clients installed; change the password from a "trusted" computer afterwards)
- your friend's computer (if he/she don't mind)
- [hardcore mode] computer at work if it's not a main nuclear power plant control panel (BIG FAT WARNING: remove the game client ASAP when you finish setting up the skill queue... this game is freakin' addictive! DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT UNDOCK. Just quit, uninstall and forget it ever happened! Prepare some heavy work to do before running the client).

Just had a peek at my old, (4 years ago) skills. Not too bad. Decent drone skills and BS to lvl 4.... Will take your advice and get skiils going again on a friends pc. It is good to be back.

Note that you *must* create your new character portrait on first login. Reserve time for this.

This is quite frustrating when you would like to get the skill queue going fast but there is no way around it and a good character model can take an hour or two to get right. You better take that time as you will be stuck with it.

(All depends on how much you care about it tho... the forum seems to be full of fairly generic-looking people so I guess most didn't care that much about it)

If you have a usb stick big enough, you could download the client and install it there and use that pretty much anywhere as an ad hoc client, meaning you don't have to remove the client if you decide to use it for a quick log in at work or somewhere else. You will need to get rid of any settings folders found in the AppData folder, which may be more difficult if you don't have that kind of access.

WoW holds your hand until end game, and gives you a cookie whether you win or lose. EVE not only takes your cookie, but laughs at you for bringing one in the first place...
