Cyno & Covert ops cyno should be warmed up before light it up, so pilot have time to take decision. Here are some suggestions:
- 60 seconds warm up for Cynosural Field Generator
- 10 seconds warm up for Covert Cynosural Field Generator
- Role bonus for Combat Force Recon ships (lachesis/huggin etc.): -80% warm up duration
- Visual effect of warming up. something like a doomsday or anchoring timer.

Cyno gives huge advantage to citizens of home systems, lets make cyno a bit balanced. I think it's about time..

the entire point of a cyno is "suddenly spaceships" particularly with BLOPS where every second counts

EDIT: Yes that was our actual dunking fleet back when we still rolled in our C5/C5/NS... the amount of fights we didnt get into was hilarious, nullbears scattering from our cruisers:)

no problem, just light it up in combat force recon ship.

2 seconds is more then plenty to get the cruiser taken off the field though...

And 60 seconds just says "we can never deploy combat cynos again" since not even heavily tanked full buffer capitals last long enough for that one

the point is to leave role of suddenly cyno to a specific ships with role bonus. but still one can put a cyno in any ship to light up for JF or when transporting a capitals.

if it takes more then 1 second the inevitable responce will be "alpha that cyno ship overheat everything and paste it" if it doesnt take more then 1 second it doesnt matter...

So now show me on the hulk where the scary men touched you

edit: rounders is pretty cool though

why??

and do you have any idea how fast you can remove a recon from the field?

we have even have Navpocs popped almost imidietly after a cyno was lit

And *** yes. Pay a price for dropping people. 60 seconds is enough if you have arms to hold a fleet. But what you want is just to cyno up in Velator and all dictors bubles are instantly in the grid. If only that was used for a big battles, but people use a cyno to kill a solo pilot with 10 carriers. lol i think solo pilot deserve some mercy.

awwwww it thinks eve has mercy...

It is so cute...

Can i have your stuff?

EDIT: ALSO, your idea is backwards, a 60second timer means its useless in fleet fights and ONLY usable when ganking solo players who cant take a heavily tanked ship...

I play this game for 10 years and you cannot imagine how many ships cheap and expansive i've lost and killed. I don't care about myself ever, coz all of your cheap suddenlyness is expected for me and i know how to deal with it and always ready for a cyno. All i want is EVE not to die like this, coz i travel every day for 2-4 hours in space and meet no pvp in emptry systems. People (especially new pilots) just don't want to waste their time for fitting a ship and got killed in seconds without any chance. So thats why i'm posting this. In 2006-2010 was a time when not everyone could drop a capital or bridge with a titan just because it took time to train this type of ship. now with many old characters and skillpoints boosters it's not a problem.

Awwww it thinks cynos are unfair...

You realise we're only taunting you until the ISD gets here and slaps this thread into oblivion right? I was a capital pilot at 25m SP back in 09... Capitals and t2 cruisers are easy to skill for...

i just look at ONLINE stats for eve and see it dropping down. people quit playing eve so, you can think whatever you want but one day you'll face the problem that nothing to think about, coz only player in this game will be you and your friend sitting in titan. both.. in one. lol
and all you'll be able to drop is an NPC in asteroid belt

So you want the people who join the pvp game eve and engage in pvp to not be able to do the pvp they enjoy?

I used to go blopsing every night with 10 guys, it was great fun... Granted, probably not for my target, but hey! screw those guys those rattlesnakes and afktars look good on my killboard!

You don't deserve a damned thing. You're not entitled to anything but what you can take and keep.

Take what you can - give nothing back.

Eve is like an addiction; you can't quit it until it quits you. Also, iderno
